THE BROCK IS BACK EXTREME RULES FULL BLOG

By Dave Scherer on 2012-04-29 20:09:11
If you read the Tip Sheet or listened to recent audio, you know I am looking forward to see what they will do with Brock Lesnar at tonight's Extreme Rules PPV.  Well, it's show time and we will know soon enough.

The show opens with Kane vs. Randy Orton in their Falls Count Anywhere match.  About a minute in, Michael Cole invites us to add to our $54.95 experience by posting messages on Twitter.  Yeah right, only dimwits like me and Mike Johnson type while the watch shows that cost this month.  Yeah, I know that isn't true.  Anyway, we have recaps of the feud that got us to this point.

Out comes Orton and we find out that Booker T will be at ringside as well.  That was certainly a moment for my Fab Five, well until five better ones come along.

Back to the match, a minute in Kane brings in a pipe but loses it to Orton, he uses it liberally on Big Red. ... They rolled out to the floor and started brawling around the building. Someone will have to explain to all of the young John Cena fans what it is that they are doing. ... Kane is in complete control and went for a fall on the floor. He only got a two. Kane came back with a slam on the floor and only got a two. ... They left the floor and headed up the steps toward the first level but came back down and went up to the stage area. They traded pinfall attempts and then went to the back so everyone in the building is seeing what we are now and they have calmed down considerably. Orton is saying something like "Je ta" when he hits Kane. I am waiting for "Uncle Ivan say....you go down" to come next. ... They went into an area where the stars are watching the show. This led to Zack Ryder jumping Kane and fighting valiantly for about 37 seconds. And they left him behind and moved on. ... Kane threw a chair at Orton and got a two. ... They then came back out into the building and the fans popped since, well they get to see what they paid to see again as Orton finally threw Kane in the ring. Orton is punching Kane but I don't think he is saying Je Ta anymore. ... Orton hit a powerslam and started viping. He went under the ring and got a chair. He used it on Kane's back. The fans are into Orton but he turned and Kane rolled out. Orton followed and cleared the announce table. he and Kane jockey over who will use it. Orton hit a DDT off of the table onto the floor (padded luckily for Kane). He got a two count. ... Kane whipped Randy into the post head first but only got a two. We are getting near a finish. ... Orton is back in the ring as Kane went up to the top. Randy ripped out the leg and crotched him, then hit the superplex from the top. Two count only and the crowd boos! I think they will be cheering soon enough because Orton vipes again but ran into a chokeslam! Two count only! But, Kane is in command and set up the chair and waited for Orton to get up so he can tombstone. Orton fights out of it and hits the RKO on the chair to win. It was a good match where both guys worked hard. The booking was the right call as well. It got the show off to a good start.

Dreck time as we have Jobby Ace and Eve belittling Teddy Long by making him serve them food, or whatever the hell they had him do. As long as they serve him that check twice a month I guess he doesn't care. Triple H calls to talk to Jobby. Jobby acts like they are pals. I think he is going to find out otherwise.

Dreck time continues as Brodus Clay comes out with his little brother RoscoeSwoggle or whatever the hell he is known as now. Michael Cole calls him a smelly troll. Sometimes Cole is right on the money. ... You ever notice that the voice at the open of Brodus' music sounds like Chris Rock. It can't be.....can it? ... Out comes Vickie. Dolph will be taking on Brodi. Too bad, I would have loved if killed RoscoeSwoggle. Then again, given how Dolph has been booked lately, he probably would have lost that one too. ... Dolph is in control for a bout a second after Swagger helped him but Dino powered up. Not good for Dolph, even though he is in control early and is working hard. He also looked at the lights. It wasn't a squash but it wasn't really a match either. ... Now the chicks are dancing and Roscoe is doing whatever it is he does.

We see Teddy Spin the when and make Big Show vs. Cody a table match. Cody is not happy. It's Teddy's fault. Of course. At least he still gets to wear his suit.

IC Title time. Show comes out first and he is happy. Why does the champ come out first? Oh yeah, the title doesn't matter! ... Show is in control early, of course. ... The announcers keep wondering how Cody can put Show through a table. They said it again, as a table was on the floor, next to the ring. Hmmm, take a look fellas and you can see a way right in front of you! ... Anyway, Show is still in control and has set a table up in the corner. He kind of guided Cody into it and Rhodes did a cool spot where he propelled himself off of it. Well it was cool because the table didn't break. ... Back on the floor, Show continues to beat on Coyote for a while when lo and behold, as Show was coming into the ring from the outside when Coyote did a dropkick on him and Show slowly lost balance, stepped on the table, broke it and lost the match. After the match, Show attacked Cody and the crowd booed. He chokeslammed Coyote through a table and the crowd booed and chanted one more time. They got it. They love them some Big Show I guess. Eventually Cody got up and managed to walk away. He has his title back but man, he did anything but win or look good.

Matt Stroker is interviewing Daniel Bryan, who is talking about why he is better than Sheamus. He then heeled the crowd. He told us how great he was and he would win tonight. One out of two ain't bad. He left doing his yes chant while the crowd did a mix of Yes and No. AJ, looking hot, was watching from the recesses. The World Title match will open hour two.
