The Programme w/ Matt and Ben on
www.CSTCnetwork.com had an exclusive interview with one of the most
controversial names in the world of pro wrestling, Teddy Hart! This hour long
chat runs the gamete of emotions as hosts Matt & Ben find out what Teddy's life
has been like as of late. From the ins and outs of the ring, to recreating
Stampede Wrestling in Canada, wrestling for AAA in Mexico, to his upcoming match
against Colt Cabana & Matt Hardy at Pro Wrestling Syndicate on May 4th and
everywhere in between, Teddy Hart let's us in on what he's doing with his life,
and its certainly an incredible story.
On the revival of Stampede Wrestling he is developing:
“Konnan is a big reason behind that. Because he was a part of Stampede at it's
pinnacle as a feeder system for New Japan, WWE.... But, when he saw the state of
Wrestling in Alberta... 3 years ago. He was quite appalled. Because Bret due to
his stroke and due to other ailments has not been able to promote or do anything
for Alberta Wrestling.... So, Konnan stepped up and let me use his name and the
AAA name which is the second largest wrestling company on the earth right now.
That draws live crowds and doesn't pay studio audience crowds to come in and
watch... Not disrespecting TNA, but that's not a real show when you gotta pay
the audience or the audience doesn't pay to watch.... But AAA they provided a
really good opportunity for me and Jack to showcase our skill but no one got to
see it in Canada. So the people in Canada were sort of curious to create a
feeder system between Stampede Wrestling... by bringing it back... Next
Generation Stampeded Wrestling we'd be taking talent from AAA, possibly TNA if
they'd like to work with us, Ring of Honor and the guys from Canada... There is
an open draft for anyone in Canada if they'd like to try out. But Konnan got the
idea to get inspired that you can bring wrestling back to Alberta. If Mexico can
still do these big indy shows... and are constantly drawing 3-5,000 people for
house shows that wrestling is not dead, that it just needs to be changed.â€
On new ways to entertain fans: “I don't care if you think it's stupid. But I
think it would be (Expletive) cool to have a German Sheppard on a dog whistle
ran out and pull out the referees leg before I had the 3 count done... There is
a lot of room in Wrestling for cool (Expletive) to happen. I just want to be the
one to help it happen..â€
Why Shawn Michaels is the best of all time: “He was the only guy who evolved or
innovated. Everyone else stuck with the same moveset. How many guys do you know
who in their career who learned the moonsault off the top ater just doing a
crossbody?â€
Do moves matter more then story? "Of course moves mean something. But if moves
are done with the wrong context where they guys not selling... then the moves
don't mean (expletive). Then a lot of times moves kill wrestling. I don't want
to be the guy insulting who do a lot of highspots... You call me a spot monkey
for christ's sake. But I truly think that as long as you've done the right story
and the spots are done correctly with the timing. It's the combination of both.â€
Teddy also discusses the would be plans for H2 Wrestling, with ideas so
interesting you have to hear them to actually believe them. He also reconnects
and opens up with a former friend and have an in-depth discussion and rekindling
live on the show. For any fans of pro wrestling who want to hear one of the most
