At the end of the Philadelphia Flyers-Pittsburgh Penguins playoff game today in Philadelphia, with the Flyers leading comfortably and about to go up 3-0 on the series, the visiting team, favored by many to win the Stanley Cup, took a page out of the classic movie "Slapshot" (or the Broad Street Bullies Flyers from the mid-seventies) and resorted to a ridiculous array of cheap shots. Finally, a Penguin player goaded Flyers' all-star Scott Hartnell into a fight as time was running out. After the fight, which was only broken up because the cowardly Penguin pulled Hartnell's hair (the NHL has some truly bizarre rules, punch in the face is OK, hair pulling is not), a pre-taped message from Hulk Hogan played over the loudspeaker. Hartnell had done the Hogan "hand to the ear" gesture in a previous game, leading the Hulkster's cameo.
