WWE would have had the talent signed to a new deal way before the last 90 days of the existing contract. They only have the 90 day no compete because they inform the talents they are being cut, then keep them under contract for 3 more months while paying them to keep them from immediately going from WWE to TNA or ROH TV. If they were under 90 days, it wouldn't matter since they wouldn't have the time to pay them.
What are the chances that John Morrison is the one to answer the Roderick Strong open challenge for Final Battle? Or is he still under a no compete clause from WWE? Who do you think it will be?
Obviously by now you know it was Chris Hero, but at no point was it planned to be John Morrison. Morrison had NO non compete as his existing deal expired and once it did, he was and is free to go anywhere he'd like to go.
Hey Guys, awesome job as always you guys are the cream of the crop, especially my favorite Canadian Mr. Johnathan Murphy. I always wondered about the match between The Rockers & The Hart Foundation for the Tag Titles that didn't air on Saturday Night's Main Event in 1990. (The Botched Rope) do you think someone backstage, (Maybe someone with a handlebar mustache) spoke to certain people to put a wrench in that match cause it was a main event tag match? Not to sound like a conspiracy nut but it seems really strange is all.
No, the ropes broke. The plan was for the Rockers to win the belts and for Jim Neidhart to be dropped from the company. WWF changed their minds and decided not to tape the title change in another market to keep with their original plans. There was no nefarious reasons for the switch being canceled.
Recently i was thinking about an article Stuart Carapola done last year (30th september 2010) regarding 10 wrestlers that have never held a world title. In the article it mentions that although Barry Windham and The Great Muta held the NWA belt in 1993 as it wasn't classified as the main belt. have two questions. If You count the NWA title in that period as a world title who would you add to the list? On the list at who do you think is ranked as the one who should have held the big title?
I do consider Muta and Windham former World champions since the belt was recognized by WCW, New Japan and the National Wrestling Alliance. To me, it was the NWA World title until NWA pulled the recognition from Ric Flair. As far as names who never held the World title who I think could have carried it - Rick Rude, Roddy Piper, Ted DiBiase and Dick Murdoch.
I once visited Universal Studios several years ago and I had a great time. While I was walking around I noticed various billboards depicting the many shows and attractions the park is so famous for. I was wondering. Are there and signs featuring the stars of TNA Wrestling? Do any of the wrestlers ever take part in promoting Universal Studios throughout the park itself? Make Appearances. Autograph signings. Pictures taken. Things like that.
Universal actually lists TNA as an attraction on their map on the days that TNA tapes Impact. They also promote the tapings via announcements in the park. The company sometimes does promotion inside the park to push the tapings as well.
