The company, this week at least, decided to go with legitimate announced weights for talents. That's all there is to it.
How unfair is Hulk Hogan for lobbying for a wrestler who has done everything for TNA/Impact and say he was not ready? I think it is an unfair assessment considering there are many stars who had a world title placed on them and still didn’t live up to expectations. No one knew how big Hulkmania would be, but he was given a chance. Is that being so hypocritical?
To be fair, everyone knew how big Hulkamania was going to be coming out of Rocky 3, which is why Vince McMahon tapped him for the WWF title run. Hogan is a veteran so his voice should be considered, but in the case of Robert Roode, to change everything so late in the plan based on his opinions was short-sighted, to say the least. That said, based on how the next few weeks of Impact go, it might have been for the best. Fair? No. But, not everything in life is.
Robert Roode vs Hulk Hogan. What do you think?
In 2011 in a shoot? Roode would take Hogan. In a worked match, he'd work at a fifth of his usual pace and take bumps like crazy before losing.
Is it just me or have the championships in WWE been looking more and more cheap these days? The majority of them look like replicas I could buy on WWEShop. The World Heavyweight Championship looks especially bad and I love that they brought back the old style of the IC title but the plates look so thin and don't have any luster. Not to mention that they dropped the ball by not putting it on the black leather. I ask because I've been fascinated with the title belts going back to when I started watching wrestling at 4 years old so I guess I still notice these sorts of things....
Honestly, that all comes down to the designs of the belts and how much money the company is willing to spend on the design and construction. I personally don't notice much of the differences that you mentioned, but I am obviously not the connoisseur that you are.
After reading this weeks spoilers for Smackdown,
the way they are
treating this "walk out" just seem ludicrous. Triple H is
the "COO" of
the entire company, and Air Boom and Alberto saying they will
only be
on Smackdown because of this boggles me. It wouldn't matter what show
they are on, Triple H still calls the shots as COO. Does WWE really
think its
viewers would think Triple H can't get to them just because
they are on
Smackdown?
They are making it up as they go!
