I just wanted your opinion on this, I have watch quite a bit of ROH and I truly see a good product there with a lot of potential, If ROH were to get some really heavy advertising and a spot on a major channel on cable what chances do you think they have of being one of the “top dogs” some day in the future, when I see them I see a company who wants to promote new younger wrestlers with good talent and when I see TNA all I see is WCW all over again except not nearly as good and management with their head up their butts, except for the WCW part I see the same thing with WWE, do you feel the same? And what do you think ROH should do to really get main streamed?
I actually enjoy much of the WWE product right now. TNA I always feel that there is an underlying feeling of the wrestlers working to overcome the handicaps that they are booked into dealing with. As far as ROH being mainstream, it's going to be a long process. They already have an owner that has a long term business plan and they have TV. What they need now is for Joe Koff and Sinclair to trust the wrestling side of things, be prepared to take some losses and have faith in the long-term. Getting some timeslots in major markets - LA, Chicago, NYC, etc. would be a huge boost as well.
I'm really enjoying this whole CM Punk thing and its about time they are using him but one thing has been bugging me. If CM Punk is on his way out, why was he pushed to the moon and given a title shot on his last day. For the last couple of months he has been in la la land doing nothing then all of a sudden he gets a rocket up his ass and now his challenging for the title. Was it in his contract to get an X number amount of title matches and WWE had no choice but to put him there before he left to honor the contract?
There was nothing contractually that WWE had to give Punk on the way out. The company pushed him hard for several reasons. One, it was a good, moneymaking storyline. Two, Punk had been upset that he wasn't used as a strong asset for the company and this was their way to show him that they could do that. Three, they were hoping all the way through that Punk would change his mind and sign a new deal and obviously, the two sides came to some sort of agreement. Four, they wanted to make him hot so when he returns, it means something. They are doing a good job thus far in my opinion.
What are CM Punks's plans right now since he is no longer with WWE? Reports say he will not go to TNA. Is he heading to ROH? Overseas? Retiring? Or just simply chilling for now?
All signs point to Punk wanting to relax in Chicago and recharge his batteries until he's back with WWE fulltime. I don't think he'll do any independents or wrestling, but he's the type of personality who can be impulsive, so at some point, likely out of nowhere, I expect we'll hear he popped up on an indy out of nowhere to work a match and then he'll disappear again. I don't believe he's going to be doing the convention circuit or anything like that.
Why wasn't the womens match Kelly Kelly vs Brie Bella held prior to the incredible Ladder Match at MITB? To follow such an exciting and nerve retching match must have been incredibly hard for the two women. I admire them for going out there after all that. Who normally arranges the lineup of pay per views including Money in The Bank?
With all due respect to the women, the match would have been a terrible PPV opener. They wanted the Money in the Bank matches to be spaced out so the crowd could catch its breath. The women allowed that to happen. The PPVs are laid out by the creative team and Vince McMahon.
Honestly do you seriously believe that CM Punk would ever sign with TNA again? Stranger things have happened.
If CM Punk signs with TNA, I'll go back to 1wrestling.
