MORE ON WWE'S NEW DEAL WITH WAL-MART, MIZ, WRESTLEMANIA, SIN CARA AND MUCH MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-03-23 11:34:54
The Wal-Mart/WWE Studios deal gives Wal-Mart the exclusive rights to That's What I am, Breaking the Rules, Blood Brothers, Killing Karma and one additional film, which I would assume to be Barricade. Basically Wal-Mart will heavily promote the DVD and Blu-Ray releases and then have a 90 day window to sell them exclusively. The deal was a major goal for WWE and in fact, the only reason the WWE Studios arm is still doing theatrical releases was to insure Wal-Mart would carry their titles in stock. So, mission accomplished.

WWE has a HUGE media day planned for Friday 4/1 in Atlanta, GA as they'll have a good portion of the roster at the Georgia Dome available for interviews.

The Chicago Tribune has an article on David Otunga today, discussing his background growing up in the city, his WWE run, his marriage to Jennifer Hudson and more. It's a really good piece you can read at this link.

Guillermo sent the following....The Miz is part of a 64 man March Madness Style tournament to select the best peson to ever compete in an MTV Challenge, he is currently seeded at 10 in the Gauntlet Region. To vote, click here.

Steven Fernandes reporting....The updated card for the RAW house show in Winnipeg, MB on May 27th lists the following match for the US Championship - Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus. vs. John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler w/Gail Kim. Don't know if it's an error on the event website or a turn coming up for Kim. Also, Sin Cara's name has been removed from the lineup. It could be another error though, as the match he was advertised for is still a Tag Team match, but Evan Bourne doesnt have a partner listed (versus The Nexus).
