I decided to look at the ratings and viewer numbers since the start of the year to see if what he said about the slow but sure growth was true. Here is what TNA has done this year.
Date | Rating | Viewers |
1/6 | 1.16 | 1,474,000 |
1/13 | 1.25 | 1,733,000 |
1/20 | 1.15 | 1,648,000 |
1/27 | 1.28 | 1,934,000 |
2/3 | 1.31 | 1,953,000 |
2/10 | 1.2 | 1,653,000 |
2/17 | 1.1 | 1,544,000 |
2/24 | 1.26 | 1,545,000 |
3/3 | 1.36 | 1,847,000 |
3/10 | 1.25 | 1,738,000 |
3/17 | 1.28 | 1,781,000 |
Thus far in 2011, they have a high rating of 1.36 on 3/3 and a low of 1.1 on 2/17.
Where the viewer numbers are concerned, they hit their 2011 high on 2/3, with 1,953,000 and went down by more that 400,000 sets of eyeballs a few weeks later. This week, they were back up to almost 1.8 million.
For the month of January they averaged a 1.21 rating with 1,697,000 viewers.
For the month of February they averaged a 1.22 rating with 1,674,000 viewers.
Thus far in March they have averaged a 1.30 with 1,789,000 viewers.
At this point in time, Hogan can defend his case for slow growth (or have me do it for him). They key will be in whether TNA can maintain the numbers going forward.
