1980 - Dory Funk, Jr. defeats Dusty Rhodes for the Florida State Heavyweight Title in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, ending Rhodes' tenth, and final, run with the belt.

1982 - Greg Valentine defeats Wahoo McDaniel for the NWA U.S. Heavyweight Title in Norfolk, Virginia, ending Wahoo's third title reign, and starting the second run with the strap for Valentine.

1988 - They Live, the John Carpenter directed Sci-Fi movie featuring Roddy Piper in his first starring role in a feature film, is released. The movie would gross $4,827,903 during it's first three days in theaters, finishing number one for the weekend. 

1991 - Tom Prichard defeats Eric Embry for the USWA Southern Heavyweight Title in Memphis, Tennessee, ending Embry's second title reign and starting the second for Prichard. On the same show, Doug Masters & Bart Sawyer defeat Jeff Jarrett & Robert Fuller for the USWA Tag Team Title, ending their third, and final, reign.

1994 - At an ECW television taping in Hamburg, Pennsylvania, 2 Cold Scorpio defeats Jason for the ECW World Television Title, only to lose it later that night to Dean Malenko (who was managed by Jason).

2001 - WWF Rebellion, a UK-Only Pay-per-view, was held at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. Here are the results:
- In a dark match, Chuck Palumbo &
Billy Gunn defeated Lance Storm & Justin Credible.
- WWF Intercontinental Champion Edge defeated Christian in a steel cage match.
- Scotty 2 Hotty defeated Hurricane Helms.
- The Big Show defeated Diamond Dallas Page.
- WCW World Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz defeated The Acolytes and The
Hardy Boyz in an elimination match. Matt pinned Faarooq to eliminate the Acolytes, and the Dudleys pinned Matt to eliminate the Hardys.
- William Regal defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri.
- WCW World Champion Chris Jericho defeated Kurt Angle.
- Torrie Wilson & Lita defeated Stacy Keibler & Mighty Molly (Holly).
- WWF World Heavyweight Champion Steve Austin defeated The Rock.

2002 - Batista made his televised Raw debut at a show from the Fleetcenter in Boston, Massachusetts, defeating Justin Credible with a powerbomb.
