1950 - Johnny Valentine defeats Danny Dusek for the Florida NWA Southern Heavyweight Title in Tampa, Florida.

1957 - Killer Kowalski defeats Gene Kiniski to win the Montreal Athletic Commission World Heavyweight Title in Montreal, Quebec, to begin his ninth reign.

1957 - Mishima Ota defeats Juan Diaz for the Mexican National Lightweight Title. Ota, Japanese, immediately had to vacate the title because the rules state that Mexican national titles can only be held by native Mexicans.

1959 - Randy Anderson is born in Rome, Georgia.

1964 - Mr. Moto and Nikita Mulkovich defeat Robert Duranton and Shag Thomas for the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Title in Honolulu, Hawaii.

1965 - The Assassins (Guy Mitchell and Joe Tomasso) defeat Boris and Nicoli Volkoff to win the WWA World Tag Team Title in Indianapolis, Indiana.

1967 - Tim and Rip Tyler defeat Bobby Fields and Ken Lucas for the NWA Gulf Coast Tag Team Title in Panama City, Florida.

1968 - Johnny Barend and Magnificent Maurice defeat Peter Maivia and Billy White Wolf to win the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Title in Honolulu, Hawaii.

1970 - The Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello and Don Kent) defeat Dick the Bruiser and Bill Miller for the WWA World Tag Team Title in Indianapolis, Indiana.

1970 - Paul DeMarco defeats Nick Bockwinkel in Atlanta, Georgia to win his third NWA Georgia Heavyweight Title.

1973 - Bob Armstrong and Bill Dromo defeat The Super Infernos for the NWA Macon Tag Team Title in Macon, Georgia, beginning their third reign.

1973 - Masked Lee and Sandy Parker defeat Mariko Akagi and Jumbo Miyamoto for the WWWA World Tag Team Title in Yokohama, Japan. This began Lee and Parker's second reign and ended Akagi and Miyamoto's fifth.

1974 - Beau James is born in Kingsport, Tennessee.

1975 - Daffney is born in Wiesbaden, Germany.

1976 - NWA Tri-State held its first "Superdome Extravaganza" at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The results were:

- Nelson Royal defeated Ron Starr.

1978 - Mike Knox is born in San Bernardino, California.

1982 - The WWF held an event at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The results:
- Charlie Fulton defeated Pete Doherty.
- Laurent Soucie defeated Jose Estrada.

1987 - Mile Zrno defeats Steve Wright to win the Catch Wrestling Association World Middleweight Title in Vienna, Austria.

1987 - Rufus R. Jones defeats Porkchop Cash in Kansas City, Kansas to win his third NWA Central States Heavyweight Title.

1988 - Frank "Bruiser Brody" Goodish, died at Centro Médico de San Juan in Puerto Rico, hours after a stabbing attack from José "Invader I" González, in a shower at a WWC event in Bayamón.

1988 - Villano III wins his third WWF Light Heavyweight Title, defeating Rambo in Naucalpan, Mexico.

1988 - Emilio Charles, Jr. defeats Atlantis to win the NWA World Middleweight Title in Mexico City, Mexico.

1990 - Terry Gordy defeats Stan Hansen for the AJPW Triple Crown Title in Ishikawa, Japan, beginning his second reign. He had to vacate the title 10 days later after being hospitalized after an overdose on painkillers.

1992 - Felino defeats America to win the CMLL World Welterweight Title in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

1992 - La Sirenita defeats Neftali to win the Mexican National Women's Title in Cuautla, Mexico.

1993 - The WWF held an event at USAir Arena in Landover, Maryland, the first show since the former Capital Centre was renamed. The results were:
- Jim Powers pinned Papa Shango with an inside cradle.
- Tatanka fought Bam Bam Bigelow to a double countout.
- Bret Hart defeated WWF Champion Yokozuna by disqualification when Mr. Fuji hit Hart with the Japanese flag as he had Yokozuna in the Sharpshooter. Lex Luger made the save. Yokozuna retained the title.
- The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart) defeated Afa and Samu.
- The Bastion Booger pinned Bob Backlund with a sitdown splash.
- WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels pinned Mr. Perfect after Sweet Chin Music to retain the title.

1993 - Brian Lee defeats Tracy Smothers for the SMW Heavyweight Title in Johnson City, Tennessee, ending Smothers' second reign and beginning Lee's second.

1994 - WCW held their first Bash At The Beach Pay-per-view at the Orlando Arena, in Florida. This show would mark the beginning of a major change in WCW philosophy, as it featured the WCW PPV in-ring debut of Hulk Hogan. This was also the first-ever PPV singles meeting of Hogan and Ric Flair.  Their previous singles matches had only been held on WWF house shows. Here are the results of the show:
- In a dark match, Brian (BG James/Road Dogg) & Brad Armstrong defeated Steve Keirn & Bobby Eaton.
- WCW Television Champion Steven (William) Regal defeated Johnny B. Badd when Regal reversed a sunset flip and held the trunks for the pin.
- Antonio Inoki was presented with an award for his contributions to wrestling.  Regal briefly confronted Inoki, before backing off.
- Vader, with Harley Race, defeated The Guardian Angel (Big Bossman) via disqualification when the referee caught Angel with a nightstick, even though Race had brought it into the ring, and Angel never actually used it.
- Terry Funk & Bunkhouse Buck, with Col. Robert Parker & Meng, defeated Dustin Rhodes & Arn Anderson when Funk pinned Rhodes after Arn turned on him and gave him a DDT.
- WCW United States Champion Steve Austin defeated Ricky Steamboat by putting his feet on the ropes for leverage.
- Paul Roma & Paul Orndorff defeated Cactus Jack & Kevin Sullivan to win the WCW World Tag Team Title when Orndorff pinned Cactus while Roma held Cactus' legs from the outside.
- Hulk Hogan, with Shaquille O'Neil, Jimmy Hart & Mr. T in his corner, defeated Ric Flair, with Sherri Martel, to win the WCW World Heavyweight Title.  Martel was carried off by Mr. T during the match.  The bout ended when Hogan "hulked up" after a brass knuckles shot, and delivered a big boot to the face and a legdrop for the win (I know, shocking).

1994 - WAR held its Second-Anniversary Show at Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, featuring an eight-team six-man tag team tournament. The results were:
- Masanobu Kurisu defeated Yuji Yasuraoka.

- Ashura Hara, Jinsei Shinzaki and John Tenta defeated WAR World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Hiromichi Fuyuki, Gedo and Jado.

1997 - Corporal Punishment and Mark Schrader defeat Jimmy Cicero and Steve Corino for the Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation Tag Team Title.

1999 - Steve Bradley defeats Vic Grimes to win the Power Pro Wrestling Young Guns Title in Memphis, Tennessee, ending and beginning both men's second reigns.

1999 - Wayne Woo defeats Magic for the NWA New York Hardcore Title in Staten Island, New York.

2000 - The Monday Night War took a week off, as WWF RAW is WAR aired unopposed. WCW Monday Nitro was pushed to Tuesday night due to TNT's two-part miniseries "Nuremberg". RAW got a 6.2 rating on USA, and the results were:
- The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von) fought The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt (with Lita)) to a no-contest.
- WWF Hardcore Champion Steve Blackman fought The Godfather to a no-contest to retain the title.
- Road Dogg and X-Pac defeated Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty).
- Chris Benoit and WWF Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian (with Shane McMahon) defeated The A.P.A. (Bradshaw and Faarooq) and WWF Champion The Rock.
- WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko defeated Chyna (with WWF European Champion Eddie Guerrero) by disqualification to retain the title.

2004 - ROH held "Reborn: Completion" at the Rex Plex in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The results:
- Generation Next (Jack Evans and Roderick Strong (with Austin Aries and Alex Shelley)) defeated Special K (Dixie and Izzy).
- Doug Williams defeated Jay Lethal, Nigel McGuinness and John Walters in a Four Corner Survival match to advance to an ROH Pure Title match later in the show.
- The Carnage Crew (DeVito and Loc) defeated The New and Improved Carnage Crew (Danny Daniels and Masada) in a Weapons match. As a results, Daniels and Masada had to break up.
- Alex Shelley defeated Austin Aries, ROH Tag Team Champion CM Punk and Matt Stryker in a Four Corner Survival match to advance to an ROH Pure Title match later in the show.

2004 - Jeremy V defeats Todd Sexton for the vacant NWA Wildside Television Title in Cornelia, Georgia.

2004 - Buzz Dupp defeats Mike Woods for the NWA Mid-America Heavyweight Title in Columbia, Tennessee, ending Woods' third reign.

2004 - Calvin Rose defeats Tan the Man to win the NWA Southern Television Title in Jackson, Mississippi.

2004 - Conscience defeated Eric Canyon, Hatred and Adam Shame in a four-way match at a Scottish Wrestling Alliance show in Bellshill, Scotland, to become the first NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion.

2005 - TNA held the first-annual "No Surrender" pay-per-view at the iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, Florida. The results were:
- In a pre-show match, Shocker pinned Jerrelle Clark with a roll-up.
- America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) defeated Michael Shane and Alex Shelley (with Traci), when Storm pinned Shelley after a Superkick.
- Sonjay Dutt defeated Mikey Batts, Shark Boy and Elix Skipper in a Fatal Four-Way match, by pinning Batts after a Hindu Press, to qualify for the upcoming Super X Cup Tournament.
- Apolo and Sonny Siaki defeated The Diamonds in the Rough (Simon Diamond and David Young), when Apolo pinned Young after a TKO.
- Samoa Joe defeated Chris Sabin by submission with the Coquina Clutch.
- Team Canada (A-1, Bobby Roode and Eric Young) defeated Lance Hoyt and NWA World Tag Team Champions The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas) (with Jimmy Hart), when Young pinned Douglas after Roode hit him with Hart's megaphone.
- Monty Brown and Kip James defeated The 3Live Kru (Ron Killings and Konnan) in a Street Fight, when Brown pinned Killings after hitting the Pounce through a table.
- A.J. Styles pinned Sean Waltman after a Styles Clash. Jerry Lynn was the guest referee.
- TNA X Division Champion Christopher Daniels pinned Petey Williams (with A-1) after the Best Moonsault Ever to retain the title.
- NWA World Heavyweight Champion Raven pinned Abyss (with James Mitchell) in a Dog Collar match, after an Evenflow DDT on thumbtacks, to retain the title. After the match, Jeff Jarrett came out and said that he was going to get his title back one way or another. Rhino then made his debut and Gored Raven.

2005 - International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom held the evening show of the second and final day of its "Weekend of Champions" at the Orpington Halls in Orpington, England. The results:
- Dragon Phoenix, Tony Sefton and Spud defeated Dave Moralez, Ashley Reed and Jack Storm.
- In an IPW:UK Tag Team Title tournament semifinal match, AK47 (Kris Linnell and Ashe) defeated The High Class Catch Club (Adam Polak and Baron von Hagen).
- James Tighe defeated Chasyn Rance.
- In the other IPW:UK Tag Team Title tournament semifinal, The Chav Army (Battalion and Flaming Red) defeated Andy Boy Simmonz and Harry Smith.
- Jonny Storm defeated westside Xtreme wrestling Cruiserweight Champion Steve Douglas to win the title.
- AK47 (Kris Linnell and Ashe) defeated The Chav Army (Battalion and Flaming Red) to become the first IPW:UK Tag Team Champions.
- Martin Stone defeated IPW:UK Champion Aviv Maayan to win the title.

2005 - PRIDE Fighting Championships held "PRIDE Bushido 8" at Rainbow Hall in Nagoya, Japan. Under Bushido rules, matches are two rounds only, instead of three. The results were:
- Josh Thomson defeated Daisuke Sugie by submission (kneebar) at 4:35 of round one.
- Denis Kang defeated Andrei Semenov by unanimous decision.
- Marcus Aurelio defeated Jutaro Nakao by unanimous decision.
- Kazuki Okubo defeated Ryuichi Murata by submission (armbar) at 9:30 of round one.
- James Thompson defeated Henry Miller by knockout (punch) at 1:21 of round one.
- Joachim Hansen defeated Masakazu Imanari by knockout (knee) at 2:34 of round one.
- Daniel Acacio defeated Kazuo Misaki by unanimous decision.

2006 - WWE held a live RAW at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, which got a 4.0 rating on USA. The results:
- Carlito pinned Shelton Benjamin with a roll-over and holding the ropes to become #1 contender to the WWE Intercontinental Title.
- Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson defeated WWE Women's Champion Mickie James and Victoria, when Trish pinned Victoria after the Stratusfaction.
- The Highlanders (Robbie and Rory McAllister) defeated Russell Simpson and Jared Steel, when Rory got the pin after the Scot Drop.
- Umaga (with Armando Alejandro Estrada) pinned John Cena after the Samoan Spike.
- Randy Orton pinned Eugene after the RKO.
- Shawn Michaels (with Triple H) defeated Shane McMahon (with Vince McMahon) by disqualification after the Spirit Squad interfered.
- In a dark match after the show, John Cena pinned WWE Champion Edge after the FU.
- Also during RAW, Amy Zidian became the first contestant eliminated from the 2006 Diva Search.

2006 - New Japan held the 12th event of its "Circuit 2006 Turbulence" tour at the Tsukisamu Green Dome in Sapporo, Japan. The show featured a six-man tournament for the IWGP Heavyweight Title, which had been stripped from Brock Lesnar three days earlier. The results were:
- Mitsuhide Hirasawa, Taichi Ishikari and Takashi Uwano defeated Takashi Iizuka, Tetsuya Naito and Yujiro.
- Akebono defeated IWGP Tag Team Champion Hiroyoshi Tenzan to advance to the IWGP Heavyweight Title tournament semifinals.
- Yuji Nagata defeated Travis Tomko to advance to the IWGP Heavyweight Title tournament semifinals.
- Prince Devitt, Koji Kanemoto, Negro Casas and Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Gedo, Jado, Jushin Liger and Minoru.
- Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano defeated Riki Choshu and Naofumi Yamamoto.
- Giant Bernard defeated Akebono to advance to the IWGP Heavyweight Title tournament finals.

- NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask IV defeated Wataru Inoue to retain the title.
- Real Wild Child (Manabu Nakanishi and Takao Omori) defeat Shiro Koshinaka and Togi Makabe to become the interim IWGP Tag Team Champions. Koshinaka and Makabe had defeated Giant Bernard and Travis Tomko in a tournament final on July 2 to become interim champions after Masahiro Chono, who was champions with Hiroyoshi Tenzan, was injured. Chono and Tenzan split on September 20, and Real Wild Child were declared official champions eight days later.
- Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Giant Bernard to win the vacant IWGP Heavyweight Title.

2006 - Robbie Brookside defeats champion Hade Vansen and Jonny Storm in a three-way elmination match for the FWA British Heavyweight Title in Morecambe, England.

2006 - Flash Moon and Tigers Mask defeated Kei and Shu Sato in Osaka, Japan at an Osaka Pro Wrestling event, to win the Michinoku Pro Tohoku Tag Team Title.

2006 - Psycho defeats The Faroh of Phunk for the NWA Southern Television Title in Magee, Mississippi.

2006 - Amazing Kong and Kyoko Kimura defeat Kyoko Inoue and Etsuko Mita for the NEO Tag Team Title in Tokyo, Japan.

2007 - WWE taped Friday Night SmackDown! and held ECW live at the Entertainment Center in Laredo, Texas. ECW got a 1.3 rating on Sci Fi and SmackDown! got 2.6 on The CW. The event was originally scheduled to take place at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, but was cancelled due to the Benoit family tragedy. The results were:
- In a dark match, Sylvan defeated ???.

- Victoria pinned Torrie Wilson after the Widow's Peak.
- The Great Khali won a 20-man battle royal, last eliminating Batista and Kane, to win the vacant World Heavyweight Title. The title had been vacated by Edge earlier in the night due to a torn left pectoral muscle, suffered the previous week during an attack from Kane. Also in the battle royal were: WWE Tag Team Champion Deuce, WWE Tag Team Champion Domino, Kenny Dykstra, Eugene, Finlay, Funaki, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Mark Henry, Brett Major, Brian Major, WWE United States Champion MVP, Shannon Moore, Chris Masters, Jamie Noble, Dave Taylor and Jimmy Wang Yang.
- Matt Hardy pinned Kenny Dykstra after the Twist of Fate off the middle turnbuckle.
- Batista and Kane fought to a no-contest when The Great Khali attacked both men. The match was to determine the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title.
ECW:
- CM Punk pinned Elijah Burke after the GTS.
- Big Daddy V (with Matt Striker) pinned Ted Storm after a spinning sidewalk slam.
- Kevin Thorn pinned Tommy Dreamer after the Original Sin.
- At the end of ECW, ECW World Champion Johnny Nitro came to the ring and announced that he had changed his name to John Morrison.
In a dark match after the taping, World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali was disqualified in a Triple Threat match with Batista and Kane.

2007 - Tommy Rich defeats The Masked Superstar in a Falls Count Anywhere match in Carrollton, Georgia to win the NWA All-Star Wrestling Southern Heavyweight Title.
