UNDERTAKER'S RETIREMENT, TED DIBIASE'S RUN AT THE TOP, TNA GOING AGAINST WWE AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2009-11-18 17:50:03

When is the Undertaker FINALLY going to retire?

He has not made any announcement on it so at this point it's all speculation.  Given that he is working a more limited schedule and gets periodic time off, I could definitely see him going a few more years, if not longer.  When he does hang up the boots, I would expect him to get a huge sendoff by the company.

I am continually impressed with Ted DiBiase each and every week lately. From the fact that Legacy and DX had one of the only good matches at the Hell In A Cell PPV to the emotion he showed in his "match" with Randy Orton on Raw. I have to confess, the mark in me wanted to see DiBiase tear Orton apart. He's got the look, the attitude and the in-ring ability. DX has done a great job of making Legacy, more DiBiase than Rhodes though. How soon do you think it is likely that WWE might put the big belt on him? I personally would love to see him carry the belt for 8 to 12 months and bring some respect back to a title that has been thrown around like a cheap toy lately.

WWE doesn't seem to pull the trigger that quickly so I would think it will be longer than a year before that happens.  With that said, they are high on DiBiase (even if the booking often seems like they aren't) and with his movie coming out soon, I think it's just a matter of time until they pull the trigger on turning him face and putting him up against Randy Orton.  I think there is a lot there if the company uses him correctly.

What are your thoughts on TNA running a PPV in Orlando on Sunday Dec. 20th, the same evening that The WWE is having a Smackdown/ECW TV Taping just down the road at The Amway Arena? Who is hurting who? Do you think TNA will move their PPV?

TNA won't move their PPV since it makes more sense for them financially to run in Orlando, where their costs are lower.  They will get a crowd for it since they so many loyal fans and its a PPV.  WWE is taping early due to the holidays.  The way that I see it, they knew what TNA's date was since they were set early in the year.  They knew they would take TV early due to the holidays, so I put the heat on them for booking the same night in the same market, but that's business.  They will draw a good crowd too.

I heard that management was not happy that Mickie James had gained a little weight. So what? Natalya isn't really what one would call slender..lol

In her case however, she was.  The company asked her to bulk up.  They did not ask that of Mickie.  Plus, her work has slipped of late as well.

Is it my imagination, but didn't I see this whole "Rey Mysterio got betrayed by his best friend" story a few year ago with EG? What's the deal with that?

It is not your imagination.  Sadly, WWE creative likes to copy itself.  They do it all the time and this is just another example of it.
