WHETHER STEPH CAN RUN WWE WHEN VINCE MOVES ON, HULK HOGAN IN TNA, WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO LEAVE WWE AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2009-11-11 10:00:00

I was watching ECW and William Regal and remembered of the push he was about to get before his suspension on Raw. My question is do you think he would've gotten a main event push? Do you think he would of been in the WWE title hunt if not for the suspension?

No, he wouldn't have.  He was in line for a solid push, but not a title run or main event spot.

Whenever Vince McMahon passes the torch or passes on. Do you think Stephanie will be able to carry the company?

This answer may surprise some people but yes, I think she can.  Stephanie is a smart woman with a great work ethic.  She also has the advantage of not feeling that she needs to be the beginning and end of everything in WWE creative the way that her father does.  She seems like the kind of person who would surround herself with good people that understand the business and would utilize their talents, certainly more than her father does.  Vince needs everything to run through him.  I don't think Stephanie would be as controlling and and would delegate more.  I think that would help the product.  There may be someone working for WWE right now that can churn out great story lines but hasn't gotten the chance because Vince dominates the process.  Maybe under Stephanie, that would change.  Anything has to be better than what Vince is booking on Raw right now.

How can TNA get better?

That is a purely subjective question.  Personally, I would like to see them differentiate their product more from WWE, focusing on the great workers that they have.  I would like to see the focus be on great matches and shy away from the non-wrestling stuff that WWE does.  At this point, anyone who wants to see a WWE style product will watch them so TNA should try to be unique and stand out.

I was wondering what is your thoughts on all the big stars that were in their prime and left WWE over the last 5 Years? For Example Trish, Stacy, Lita. All of these Divas still had a good 5 years left in their careers when they left the company. None of them even have a desire to want to work for WWE. I really don't believe their career have taken off at all since they left WWE. I believe the main reason they all left is WWE did not open the Check Book big enough. People get sick of the road and if your not making big money you get sick of the road even more. If Vince had put the right contracts on the table they all would have stayed. WWE really misses Trish and Lita At least they knew how to put on a top match. Cause there are very few Divas in the WWE that can wrestle. Maybe between 8-10 divas no how to have a solid match. Even Stacy was a lot more over and popular with the fans then say Maria or Kelly Kelly.  As for the Men look at the Rock and Stone Cold two of the Biggest stars in WWE history just 7 years removed from being at the top. WWE can't even get them to come to Live TV Shows anymore. The Rock Especially is a sell out to wrestling in so many way he spits at the fans of WWE. Especially a few years ago when he did not show up to Raw 15 year show. If it was not for WWE the Rock Would have no Hollywood career cause if it were not for wrestling people would not even know who the Rock is. He would have just been a former College Football player who got hurt in College. Plus for the most part the Rock so called Hollywood career is overrated most of his movies are not very good or successful except for a couple and they were a long time ago. So IM not sure what Hollywood paying for.  Austin at least he is in his 40's and had to get out cause of Neck injuries. However he should have more respect to WWE and it's fan cause nothing he has done outside of wrestling is worth talking about especially his WWE movies. I think Vince should be upset that these two guys want nothing to do with his product. They were the top two guys less then 10 years ago. Vince should open the checkbook for the Rock to return to WWE now that Hogan signed with TNA. I Know Rock probably has little interest in a WWE Return but if Vince put the right amount of money and the right amount of years on the table the Rock would return. Plus WWE could really use him.  I'm not saying people should not expand outside of Wrestling but these people should not forget where they come from and where most of them got their name from. So if the company that made you a star calls asking you to do something they should all think Twice before they say NO.

I think the fact that the divas chose to leave tells you everything.  They were making good money and still chose to walk away.  I think that says a lot about the grind that the business puts them through.  When someone can walk away like they did, that tells me a lot about how they felt about working for WWE.  It's not like the company really values the divas for their ability to wrestle anyway.

I think it's completely asinine to say that The Rock is a sellout.  Look at all of the people that WWE has future endeavored.  Working for WWE is a two way street.  The company makes money off of the talent and vice versa.  WWE made a lot of money off of The Rock and he made the most of his exposure.  That is just how business works and to think otherwise is just naive.  You may not like Rock's movies but he makes more money doing one flick than he did working in WWE for a year.  And he doesn't have to beat up his body.

The same holds true for Austin.  Vince McMahon is not a benevolent person who just gives and gives to people.  He is a businessman and this is a business.  It works both ways.  To expect people to be beholden forever to WWE is just insane.

I think Hogan's presence will sink TNA. Morale, ratings, etc...down the crapper. What do you think?

I think it's a possibility.  My fear with Hogan is that he comes in and pushes himself and brings in his friends, like Brian Knobs and Ed Leslie.  If TNA becomes like WCW was, it will hurt the company, especially when you consider how much older and broken down that Hogan is now.  If they use Hogan as an attraction and get publicity with him that exposes people to their talented younger guys, it could work.  If he plays politics, it could be a disaster.  We will just have to see how it all plays out.
