WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF SHANE MCMAHON SIGNED WITH TNA, HAVE THE RAW GUEST HOSTS HELPED WWE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2009-11-08 10:00:00
What is the latest on former WWE Divas champion Maryse since her knee surgery? When is she expected to return to wrestling in the ring?

Maryse claimed during a radio appearance earlier this week that she'd be ready to return by Survivor Series on 11/23.

What would happen if Shane McMahon signed on with TNA?

First of all, this will never, ever happen.  But, if it did, there are a few things we could hypothetically count on.  One, Vince McMahon would put all of his resources to absolutely crushing TNA out of spite.  We'd see him book WWE in whatever markets TNA was running, we'd see him pull every string possible to kill their agreement with Universal Studios and we'd see every major piece of TNA talent signed, just to sign them.  It would probably be the most personal fight of McMahon's life and think about the ground that covers.  On a TNA side, we'd probably see a completely new set of office staff brought in and see Shane push for a lot of the things that he brought to WWE's New Media side brought to the table for TNA.  Creatively, I don't know what Shane could bring to the tank, but I'd have to guess he'd be wrestling on occasion as well.  Again, none of this would happen, so we are talking fantasy land here.

Realistically what are the chances of former TNA Knockout/Beautiful People leader Angelina Love returning to TNA either this year or in 2010?

I don't see it happening this year, but I suppose it's possible in 2010.  Sources within TNA have been very down on the idea it's going to happen, which is a real shame.  Love's departure from The Beautiful People has put that group back quite a few steps.

Has having special guest hosts for Raw improved WWE's ratings? In your opinion so far has the use of guest hosts been a success? A failure? A little of both?

I'd say it's a little of both.  Some of the guests have helped pop good ratings and some have been legitimate fans who want to get involved and have fun with the gig.  Many of the appearances, even when they have cringe worthy moments like the recent Raw's Got Talent sketch, bring WWE outside attention in different media and online outlets that usually would never look at professional wrestling.  So, it's helped the company move a little closer towards getting the type of legitimate coverage they crave.  To me, the product has suffered somewhat from an in-ring perspective, but you can balance that out with the other three WWE programs, which usually have at least one-three good matches over the course of the rest of the week.

I've been reading results lately of matches featuring FCW's own Mia Mancini (Serena Deeb). If they are correct I have been very impressed by how she has been doing in her matches. If she keeps it up how long would you say before Mia Mancini appears either in ECW, Raw or Smackdown?

As soon as someone in creative takes a shine to her, she'll be on the main roster.  It could be next week, it could be next year.  There's no mathematical equation.
