PWINSIDER Q&A: CURT HAWKINS' WHERABOUTS, WHETHER WWE GOING EDGIER WITH THEIR PRODUCT HINDER JOHN CENA, BRAGGING RIGHTS' WORLD TITLE BOUT AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2009-10-20 10:00:00
Is Curt Hawkins going to debut anywhere among the WWE brands anytime soon?

He's currently down in Florida Championship Wrestling waiting for his call to return to one of the main brands.

Why not have John Cena go to Smackdown where Micheal Hayes and his Creative team rebuild  him into something more interesting than what he is presently. Than have Edge move over to Raw (Batista moved to Smackdown with no real explanation) and find a tag team partner so he can feud with Jerishow. My question is this. Who would be a good young wrestler  that Edge could tag team with and help train at the same time? Edge and Jericho's feud could culminate at Wrestlemania with the tag straps on the line.

I don't believe that feud will be over the Tag titles, but if they are turning Edge babyface, why doesn't he just team with his "brother" Christian?

Given that The Undertaker is clearly not 100% do you think this is the reason for the fatal four way at bragging rights, the angle could be that the three other competitors realize taker is the main threat and decide to gang up and take him out, this way taker could take a big bump early on and sit out a large part of the match coming back in late on for the win.

I don't believe that's why they booked it, but it certainly does give Taker a chance to be presented in the best light by having two great workers (Punk and Mysterio) and a good worker he's had great matches with in the past (Batista) in there to work with him

Also if WWE decide to move away from TV-PG back towards a more attitude era style product what do you think would be the impact on John Cena as he seems to have benefited most from the more family friendly approach, and are there any mid-carders you think would benefit from being in a more TV14 product.

I don't think it would have any effect on John Cena at all.  It might give him a chance to be a little more edgy on the mic, but in terms of his popularity or his ring work, I don't think it would have any bearing on his stature within the company.

If they wanted to do War Games in WWE, how about instead of a double ring format, they just use the Elimination Chamber and use some kind of separator to turn four pods into eight?

It's certainly possible, but we'll see if any of the Wargames rumors actually turn out to be based in fact.
