Why would WWE move the Royal Rumble just because of a football game?
It's all about potential audience. The NFC/AFC Championship games are the highest rated sporting events of the year, other than the Superbowl. It does monster numbers. Putting on a PPV on a night when a large number of male viewers (and a lot of female as well) will be watching something else on free TV is just bad business for WWE.
Do you see WWE ever expanding all their PPV events to four hours?
"Ever" is the key word. Sure, someday we might see four hour PPV events. They'll also probably be a lot more expensive as well. However, WWE seems to like the "2:45" format for their shows (except Wrestlemania), so I don't see that change happening anytime soon.
During the tragic events during Over The Edge 1999 when Owen Hart died in the ring. I know it wasn't shown during the live broadcast, but did that stop the camera's around the ring filming what was indeed happening in the ring? Paramedics attending to him etc. I imagine if Owen did survive and made a recovery (which wasn't known at the time) then they would have made a documentary or at least a return promo out of such footage?
As far as I know, the handheld cameras at ringside were not being used (remember, a video package was being shown at the time), and when the accident took place, the arena was darkened. After the fall, cameras were instructed to shoot the crowd, not the ring.
If Booker T leaves TNA, do you see a place for him in WWE?
Sure. I think a veteran like Booker certainly can contribute in helping to get WWE's younger talent over. I don't see him getting a main event run again, but certainly the "King Booker" gimmick would have some mileage left.
When Shawn Michaels required back surgery during 1998 after WM14. Was the initial diagnosis that he wouldn't return and they'd have to use him in a different role, IE Commissioner, or was it more of 'Shawns gonna be out a while but will be back in months/a year' thing?
Shawn was giving the impression that his career was over. Many were skeptical, but WWE went forward with the idea that he wouldn't be wrestling again for quite some time, if ever.
