1938 - Vic Christy defeats Don McIntyre to win the Montreal and Toronto World Heavyweight Titles in Buffalo, New York, ending Christy's second reigns.

1940 - The French Angel defeats Steve Casey for the Boston AWA World Heavyweight Title in Boston, Massachusetts, ending Casey's third reign.

1954 - Dory Funk defeats Roy Shire for the Southwest Junior Heavyweight Title in Amarillo, Texas, ending Shire's second reign and beginning Funk's seventh.

1954 - Ben and Mike Sharpe win the San Francisco NWA Pacific Coast Tag Team Title for the third time, by defeating Ron Etchison and Enrique Torres in Stockton, California, ending Etchison and Torres' second reign and beginning the Sharpes' third reign.

1959 - Ed Francis defeats Al Lolotai for the NWA Hawaii Heavyweight Title in Honolulu, Hawaii, ending Lolotai's second reign.

1960 - Rikidozan defeated Leo Nomellini to win the second-annual JWA World League Tournament.

1960 - George and Sandy Scott defeat Emil and Ernie Dusek to win the Central States NWA World Tag Team Title in St. Joseph, Missouri, ending the Duseks' second reign.

1962 - Pepe Mendieta defeats Henry Pilusso in a tournament final in Mexico City, Mexico for the vacant Mexican National Heavyweight Title.

1963 - Karl and Skull Von Stroheim defeat Gino and Tony Calza to win the Mid-America NWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee.

1964 - Robert Duranton and Shag Thomas defeat Cowboy Cassidy and Curtis Iaukea for the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Title in Honolulu, Hawaii.

1965 - The Assassins defeat Karl and Kurt Von Stroheim for the World Wrestling Association World Tag Team Title in Los Angeles, California.

1966 - Giant Baba defeats Wilbur Snyder to win the eighth-annual JWA World League Tournament.

1968 - Don Carson and The Red Shadow defeat Dennis Hall and Ken Lucas to win the Mid-America NWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee. This began Carson and Shadow's third reign and ended Hall and Lucas' second reign.

1969 - Tony Borne and Moondog Mayne defeat Karl and Kurt Von Steiger to win the NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Title. This began Borne and Mayne's sixth reign and ended the Von Steiger's fourth.

1970 - Umbero Garza defeats Rene Guajardo to win the Mexican National Middleweight Title in Monterrey, Mexico, ending Guajardo's second reign.

1971 - Eddie Sullivan defeats Bob Kelly for the NWA Mississippi Heavyweight Title in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, ending Kelly's sixth reign.

1972 - Lars Anderson and Paul DeMarco defeat Pepper Gomez and Rocky Johnson for the San Francisco NWA World Tag Team Title in San Francisco, California.

1973 - Hiro Tojo and Waldo Von Erich defeat Ron Miller and Larry O'Day to win the NWA Austra-Asian Tag Team Title in Sydney, Australia.

1975 - Jake Roberts makes his pro wrestling debut.

1975 - Dominic DeNucci and Victor Rivera defeat The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy and Johnny) for the WWWF World Tag Team Title in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

1975 - Mike DuBois and Lord Alfred Hayes defeat The Beast and Johnny Weaver for the Eastern Sports Association International Tag Team Title in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

1975 - Dr. X defeats Ken Lucas for the NWA Gulf Coast Heavyweight Title in Mobile, Alabama, ending Lucas' seventh reign.

1978 - Jerry Oates defeats Ed Wiskoski to win the NWA Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Title.

1979 - Wahoo McDaniel defeats The Spoiler for the NWA American Heavyweight Title in Houston, Texas. This began McDaniel's second reign and ended Spoiler's third.

1981 - Jimmy Yang is born in Hollywood, California.

1983 - Harley Race defeats Jerry Blackwell in St. Louis, Missouri to win his fifth NWA Missouri Heavyweight Title.

1983 - Velvet McIntyre and Penny Mitchell defeat Joyce Grable and Wendi Richter to win the NWA World Women's Tag Team Title in Calgary, Alberta, ending Grable and Richter's second reign.

1983 - The Great Tio defeats The Masked Miser (Angelo Poffo) to win the International Championship Wrestling Television Title in Beckley, West Virginia, beginning Tio's second reign.

1984 - Rick Martel defeats Jumbo Tsuruta for the AWA World Heavyweight Title in St. Paul, Minnesota.

1984 - Magnum T.A. defeats Mr. Wrestling II to win the Mid-South North American Heavyweight Title in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

1985 - Randy Savage wins his second AWA Southern Heavyweight Title, defeating Jerry Oske in Memphis, Tennessee.

1988 - The NWA held a seven-man tournament to fill the NWA United States Heavyweight Title vacancy left by Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes had been stripped of the title one month earlier after attacking Jim Crockett. The tournament was held in Houston, Texas. The results:
Quarterfinals:
- Barry Windham defeated The Midnight Rider (The Italian Stallion).
- Lex Luger and Al Perez were both disqualified, putting Barry Windham through to the final match.
- Nikita Koloff defeated Ivan Koloff.
Semifinals:
- Nikita Koloff defeated Tully Blanchard.
Finals:
- Barry Windham defeated Nikita Koloff to win the vacant NWA United States Heavyweight Title.

1991 - Robert Fuller and Jeff Jarrett defeat The Texas Hangmen (Killer and Psycho) for the USWA Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee. At the same event, Bill Dundee defeats Eric Embry to win the USWA Southern Heavyweight Title, beginning his fourth reign.

1994 - Mikey Whipwreck defeats The Pitbull (Gary Wolfe) to win the ECW Television Title in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

1995 - The WWF held the final wrestling show at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The brand-new FleetCenter (now TD Banknorth Garden) opened on September 30, replacing the Garden, which was demolished in November 1997. The Garden had been in operation since 1928. The results of the event, titled "A Night to Remember" were:
- The Heavenly Bodies (Jimmy Del Ray and Tom Prichard (with Jim Cornette)) defeated The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke).
- Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Phil Apollo.
- Man Mountain Rock defeated Kwang.
- The British Bulldog and Bret Hart defeated Hakushi and Jerry Lawler, when Bret made Lawler submit.
- WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett (with The Roadie) defeated Razor Ramon in a ladder match to retain the title.
- The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) defeated Kama.
- Bam Bam Bigelow (with Chief Jay Strongbow) defeated Tatanka.
- WWF Champion Diesel defeated Sycho Sid (with Ted DiBiase) to retain the title. Gorilla Monsoon was the guest ring announcer.

1995 - ECW held "Enter Sandman" at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The results:
- Hack Myers defeated Tony Stetson.
- 911 and The Tazmaniac defeated Tsubo Genjin and Hiroyoshi Iekuda.
- Axl Rotten defeated Ian Rotten in a barbed-wire bat vs. barbed-wire chair match.
- Raven and Stevie Richards defeated Tommy Dreamer and Mikey Whipwreck by disqualification.
- ECW World Television Champion Eddie Guerrero fought Dean Malenko to a 30-minute time-limit draw to retain the title.
- ECW World Heavyweight Champion The Sandman defeated Cactus Jack to retain the title.
- ECW World Television Champion Eddie Guerrero defeated Marty Jannetty to retain the title.
- ECW World Heavyweight Champion The Sandman defeated Shane Douglas to retain the title.
- ECW World Tag Team Champions The Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and Rocco Rock) defeated The Pitbulls (#1 and #2) in a double dog collar match, when Rock pinned Pitbull #2, to retain the title.

1995 - Doug Gilbert wins his fifth USWA Heavyweight Title by defeating Brian Lee in Memphis, Tennessee, ending Lee's second reign.

1996 - Pimpinela Escarlata defeats La Parka for the Mexican National Light Heavyweight Title in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, ending La Parka's third reign.

1998 - The Lords of the Ring (Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore) defeat Dave the Rave and Rip Rogers to win the OVW Southern Tag Team Title in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to begin their second reign.

1999 - Air Paris defeats Bart Sawyer in a tournament final in Loganville, Georgia for the NWA Georgia Junior Heavyweight Title, newly-revived by NWA Georgia.

1999 - Disco Fury defeats champion Tony Kozina and Torch in a three-way match in Maple Ridge, British Columbia to win the NWA Pacific Northwest Junior Heavyweight Title, ending Kozina's fourth reign.

2000 - Mad Mike defeats Homicide and Super Hentai in North Versailles, Pennsylvania to become the first Pittsburgh Wrestling League (now NWA East) Triple Jeopardy Champion.

2000 - The Bang Gang (Dr. Love and Kool Daddy Swing) defeat Brian Jewel and Alex Rain for the Canadian Wrestling Federation Tag Team Title in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

2000 - The New Texas Outlaws (Ricky Murdock and Austin Rhodes) defeat The Top Gunz (Ricky Hayes and Tim White) to win the NWA Mid-South Tag Team Title in Tiptonville, Tennessee.

2002 - Trish Stratus defeats Jazz in Toronto, Ontario for the WWE Women's Title, beginning her second reign.

2005 - Tom Prichard defeats Rick Steiner in Irondale, Alabama to win the NWA Alabama Heavyweight Title, newly-revived by NWA Wrestle Birmingham.

2005 - La Máscara defeats Dr. X in Mexico City, Mexico for the Mexican National Welterweight Title.

2005 - Foreign Intelligence (Ala Hussein and Quinten Lee) defeat Necessary Roughness (Jon Moxley and Jimmy Turner) for the Heartland Wrestling Association Tag Team Title in Cincinnati, Ohio, beginning their second reign.

2006 - CZW held "Best of the Best VI: CZW vs. ROH" at the New Alhambra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The results:
- Austin Aries and B-Boy defeated Jigsaw in a Best of the Best Tournament quarterfinal match.
- Claudio Castagnoli and Roderick Strong defeated Jay Lethal in a Best of the Best Tournament quarterfinal match.
- Sabian and Matt Sydal defeated Sonjay Dutt in a Best of the Best Tournament quarterfinal match.
- CZW World Heavyweight Champion Ruckus and Christopher Daniels defeated Derek Frazier in a Best of the Best Tournament quarterfinal match. Daniels got the pinfall to win the title, ending Ruckus' second reign.
- Team AnDrew (Andy Sumner and Drew Gulak) defeated Pelle Primeau and Rhett Titus.
- Up in Smoke (Cheech and Cloudy) defeated The Heretic and Ravage.
- Austin Aries defeated B-Boy in a Best of the Best Tournament semifinal match.
- Claudio Castagnoli defeated Roderick Strong in a Best of the Best Tournament semifinal match.
- Sabian defeated Matt Sydal in a Best of the Best Tournament semifinal match.
- Ruckus defeated CZW World Heavyweight Champion Christopher Daniels in a Best of the Best Tournament semifinal match to win the title, beginning his third reign.
- CZW World Tag Team Champions The BLKOUT (Eddie Kingston and Joker) defeated Necro Butcher and Super Dragon to retain the title.
- CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion Niles Young defeated Cloudy to retain the title.
- The H8 Club (Nick Gage and Justice Pain) defeated Christopher Bishop and Lionel Knight.
- CZW World Heavyweight Champion Ruckus defeated Austin Aries, Claudio Castagnoli and Sabian to win the Best of the Best Tournament and retain the title.
- Chris Hero defeated CZW World Heavyweight Champion Ruckus to win the title.

2006 - Hajime Ohara defeats La Máscara in Mexico City, Mexico to win the NWA World Welterweight Title.

2006 - HUSTLE held "HUSTLE-17" at the Sendai City Gym in Miyagi, Japan. The results:
- HUSTLE Kamen Blue, HUSTLE Kamen Red and HUSTLE Kamen Yellow defeated Itako, Neo Devil Pierrot #1 and Neo Devil Pierrot #2.
- Erica (Aja Kong), Kintaro Kanemura and Margaret (Amazing Kong) besiegen Dokron Z, Giant Vabo (Hiroshi Nagao) and The Piranha Monster Omega.
- Shinjiro Otani, Masato Tanaka and TAJIRI defeated Demon Spider, Sendai-shi Low and The Flying Vampire #25.
- HUSTLE Super Tag Team Champions Ryouji Sai and Wataru Sakata defeated Toshiaki Kawada and Kohei Sato to retain the title.
- Naoya Ogawa, Razor Ramon Hard Gay and The Great Sasuke defeated Yoji Anjoh, Gomorrah (Matt Morgan) and Hakushi.

2006 - Keith Walker defeats Wade Chism in St. Joseph, Missouri for the World League Wrestling Heavyweight Title, ending Chism's fourth reign.

2006 - The North-South Wrecking Crew (C.W. Anderson and Bull Wheeler) defeat MAYHEM in a tournament final in Adrian, Michigan to become the first Pro Wrestling WORLD-1 Great Lakes Tag Team Champions.

2007 - TNA held its third-annual "Sacrifice" pay-per-view at the iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, Florida. Earlier in the day, the NWA and TNA ended their five-year business relationship, with the NWA stripping the NWA World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Titles from Christian Cage and Team 3D, respectively. The results:
- TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin defeated Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt in a triple threat match to retain the title, by pinning Dutt with a roll-up.
- Robert Roode (with Ms. Brooks) pinned Jeff Jarrett with the Payoff.
- Christopher Daniels pinned Rhino after hitting him with a baseball bat.
- Basham and Damaja (with Christy Hemme) defeated Kip James in a handicap match, when Basham got the pin after a diving headbutt. B.G. James was scheduled for the match, but was attacked by Basham and Damaja beforehand.
- Chris Harris defeated James Storm in a Texas death match, after pinning Storm after hitting him with a beer bottle, with Storm not being able to answer the 10-count.
- Jerry Lynn defeated Senshi, Alex Shelley and Tiger Mask IV in a four corners match. After the match, Shelley and Chris Sabin attacked Lynn until Bob Backlund made the save.
- TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) defeated Scott Steiner & Tomko and The Latin American Exchange (Homicide & Hernandez) in a triple threat match, when Brother Ray pinned Tomko after a 3D, to retain the title.
- Samoa Joe pinned A.J. Styles after a rear naked choke suplex.
- Kurt Angle defeated TNA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage and Sting in a three-way match to win the title, by making Sting submit with the ankle lock. Sting had Cage pinned at the same time, but Sting tapped out to Angle just before the three-count was made on Cage.

2007 - Inoki Dojo USA held an event at the Inoki Dojo in Los Angeles, California. The results were:
- Apocalipto and Colossal Chris defeated Cadaver and Thunder Wolf.
- Bad Blood defeated Sexy Chino.
- Cheerleader Melissa defeated Saki Maemura.
- LTP and Pikachu defeated Durango and Impacto.
- Tony Bolt defeated Jimmy Jact Cash.
- Josh Daniels and Masato Tanaka defeated Shockwave the Robot and Sigmo.
- Nanae Takahashi defeated NWA and AWA World Women's Champion Amazing Kong to win the AWA title, beginning her second reign. The NWA title was not at stake.
