New York, beginning his third reign. At the same show, Josh Daniels defeats
Javi-Air to win the NYWC Interstate Title.
2006 - Fuuka defeats Natsuki*Head in a tournament final in Tokyo, Japan to
become the first JDStar Princess of Pro-Wrestling Champion.
2007 - WWE held the seventh-annual "Vengeance" pay-per-view at the
Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event was taglined "Night of
Champions", as all nine titles in WWE were on the line. The results:
- In a dark match, Super Crazy pinned Carlito after a moonsault.
- World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch defeated The Hardys
(Matt and Jeff), when Cade pinned Jeff after a spinebuster slam, to retain the
title.
- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero pinned Jimmy Wang Yang after a
frog splash to retain the title.
- Johnny Nitro pinned CM Punk after a corkscrew neckbreaker from the middle
rope to win the vacant ECW World Title. Nitro replaced Chris Benoit, who was
not at the event, for, in WWE's words, "personal reasons".
- WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella defeated Umaga by
disqualification to retain the title. Umaga ignored the referee while punching
Marella in the corner and was disqualified.
- WWE United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter pinned Ric Flair after
the Playmaker to retain the title.
- WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce and Domino (with Cherry) defeated Sgt.
Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka, when Deuce pinned Snuka after rolling through a
Superfly splash, to retain the title.
- World Heavyweight Champion Edge defeated Batista by countout to retain the
title. Batista had originally won the match by disqualification, but SmackDown!
general manager Theodore Long ordered the match continue. With the loss,
Batista was not allowed another title shot as long as Edge was champion.
- Candice Michelle pinned WWE Women's Champion Melina after a spinning heel
kick to win the title, ending Melina's second reign.
- WWE Champion John Cena defeated King Booker (with Queen Sharmell), Mick
Foley, Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton to retain the title, by pinning Foley
after an FU.

Japan, two titles change hands. Jun Kasai and Jaki Numazawa defeat GENTARO and
