WWE PPV START TIME AND DATE UPDATES

By Mike Johnson on 2024-05-13 10:15:00

As PWInsider.com reported back in March, multiple WWE sources confirmed told that WWE had been looking into potentially moving domestic PPVs to an earlier start time of 7 PM, which the company had utilized many years ago.  The company has, thus far, kept that 7 PM start time for additional PPVs, including WWE NXT Heatwave, Summerslam and The Bash at Berlin, so thus far, they are maintaining that experiment.

However, WWE PPVs may not remain on Saturdays, where they have switched at the behest of WWE President Nick Khan, who felt that Saturdays made for an easier experience for fans, especially those traveling to events.  UFC President Dana White, speaking after UFC on ESPN 56 over the weekend, noted that TKO was looking at a schedule where White's Power Slap could run Fridays, UFC would run Saturdays and WWE PPVs would be Sundays.  That doesn't mean it could happen across the board every month, but on weekends where TKO has their production team in the same city working on multiple events for the promotion's under their umbrella.
