Live from Fete Music in Providence, RI it's the debut event for Women's Wrestling Army promoted by Maria Kanellis-Bennett and Bobby Cruise!
The Show opens with our commentary team Lenny Leonard and Alyssa Marino welcoming us to the show and promotion. They then introduce the promotions co-founder Maria Kanellis-Bennett!
Maria gives an impassioned speech about how this promotion and show is a response to everyone that every told her and every woman in the locker room "no."
- Miranda Alize defeated Laynie Luck.
- Trish Adora vs Big Swole went to a 15 minute time limit draw.
- CCW Network Championship- Kayla(c) Sparkz retains over Mazzerati.
-Tasha Steelz defeats Taya Valkyrie in a great match.
- Queen B defeats Christina Marie.
- Jody Threat vs. Alex Garcia: Garcia wins via DQ when Threat refuses to break a hold in the ropes at 5. Maria Kanellis-Bennett comes out and restarts as a no DQ match: Alex Garcia wins again with an STO onto a chair.
- Queen Aminata defeats Gabby Ortiz via submission.
- Nicole Savoy defeats Janai Kai via submission.
- NWA Womens World Tag Team Championship: Marti Belle and Allyson Kay (The Hex)(c) defeat Willow Nightingale and Holidead to retain after a miscommunication.
Afterward Holidead turns on Willow, The Hex make the save, run off Holidead and celebrate to send us home.
Overall, the show was really good and alot of fun. Bobby and Maria were clearly working hard running all over the building throughout the show. They really did a great job establishing who will be heel and face for the promotion going forward.
No word yet on when it will air, but I recommend checking it out once it's available!
