SMACKDOWN TONIGHT IN BROOKLYN, WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CROWD ACTIONS DURING RAW MAIN EVENT, INJURIES AND MORE WWE NEWS

By Mike Johnson & Paul Jordan on 2017-08-22 09:02:00

WWE will broadcast Smackdown Live and 205 Live tonight from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.  Kevin Owens' issues with Shane McMahon will be part of the theme of tonight's Smackdown.  Neville vs. Tozawa for the WWE Cruiserweight championship will headline the 205 Live broadcast.

John Cena was the person responsible for the raucous crowd reaction and all the madness with the beach balls and the wave during the main event.  During a commercial break, Cena called for an audible and had Miz cut a promo knocking the antics of the crowd earlier in the show, which of course led to Cena cheering them on and the fans acting out.  After the show went off the air, Cena cut a promo putting over the beach balls and the wave.  I think he'd feel differently if he was one of the Cruiserweights last night, but that's just me.

WWE will return to Brooklyn this December as part of their post-holidays live event tour.

There was some concern backstage that Drew McIntyre may have gotten injured when he took the backstabber from Adam Cole at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III this past Saturday as he hit the back of his head pretty hard taking the move but we are told he is good to go for this week's TV tapings in Florida.

Big Cass is slated to get MRIs today on his injured left knee.

Asuka, meanwhile, noted the following on Twitter:

Shawn Michaels is at the WWE Performance Center today.
