WHEN NEW GFW TITLES ARE EXPECTED TO DEBUT, DID GFW PREVENT ALBERTO FROM SHOOTING ON THE MIC LAST NIGHT, JAMES STORM, ECW AND MORE GFW NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2017-07-06 02:00:00

GFW will film more material tonight at Universal Studios for upcoming episodes of Impact.

At the end of last night's Impact Wrestling taping, Alberto el Patron started to cut a promo but was drowned out by his theme music, which was described to us as blasting at a ridiculous level.  There was a belief among several we've heard that after the reference to the Paige videotape leak during the Smackdown rap battle between New Day and The Usos, some were waiting for Alberto to tear WWE apart on the mic, but that didn't happen.

As of now, the new GFW titles will debut on television on a "live" Impact Wrestling broadcast on Pop on 8/17, which will be Destination X 2017.  The company has live events prior to that in August, so they could always pop up there as well.

With Mayor Buddy Dyer appearing at the taping last night and the company paying tribute to the victims of the Pulse Nightclub tragedy, the company's relationship with Universal Studios in Orlando has been described as stronger than its been in a long, long time.  After this week, the company will be taping 8/17 through 8/20.

The storyline coming out of Slammiversary is that James Storm suffered a serious concussion against EC3.

EC3 will be throwing out the first pitch and signing at the 7/8 Bridgeport Bluefirst game at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard to promote Impact's live event there on 8/6.

KM will be attending and signing autographs at SUMOSLAM 2017- an inflatable sumo wrestling tournament being hosted by Ken Tuccio of WFOX-FM 95.9 FM at 1 PM.  The event will be free at No Worries Brewing (2520 State Street, Hamden, CT 06517) with KM appearing at 2 PM.  This appearance is also designed to promote the Bridgeport, CT event.
