ROCK IN TROUBLE FOR CALLING PUNK?, NEW JAPAN LIVE ON AXS TV?, USING TOURNAMENT TO BUILD TO BROCK'S NEXT CHALLENGER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-05-12 10:00:00

Do you think AXS TV will broadcast the New Japan events in California this July live?

I would suspect that will happen for at least one of them.  It makes a lot of sense for AXS to do so, especially since they have obviously had a hand in helping to popularize NJPW here in the United States.

In a previous episode of Total Divas some of the women were upset that Eva Marie had been training, trying to improve on her ringwork, in the state of California. Are wrestlers free to train away from the Performance Center? Can they work out in rings not affiliated with WWE?

No one can stop a WWE talent from getting into a ring to work out.  In the case of Eva Marie, Brian Kendrick was suggested to her by the company.

I recently came across a picture of Nora Greenwald (Molly Holly) appearing at this years 2017 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Is this a sign that Nora Greenwald may finally be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame perhaps next year?

I'd like to think so.  I feel she should have gone in already.  I don't believe her appearance was a sign she will be inducted.  She was just there to attend the ceremony.

While I think it was short sighted for WWE to put the title on Brock I think they can use this situation to put some larger interest on the title. What do you think of an idea to hold a lengthy tournament to determine the #1 contender for Brock's title when he finally comes back in Summer. I mean it is something they probably should have started after Mania but now that Payback is done it is perfect to build up interest in your top stars as they all attempt to prove they are worthy of facing Lesnar.

On paper, they sounds like a fun idea but the reality is that, except to the most die-hard fans, long form tournaments have never been a big drawing card for pro wrestling in modern day America.

Did The Rock get in trouble for calling CM Punk?

We were told that night that WWE officials were furious about The Rock mentioning and calling Punk from the ring, but really, how could he get in trouble?  He's the biggest star in the world.   WWE can't touch him.   There's no way he could be in "trouble."  They could be mad at him all they want, but it would be meaningless.
