TRAINING CHARLOTTE, ODDS OF COLE AT TAKEOVER CHICAGO, BUFORD PUSSER, JINDER'S PUSH AND MORE

What do you think are the chances of Adam Cole showing up at Takeover?

It's certainly possible as his final ROH dates are this weekend, but my guess is that he will work independents for a few months before he potentially heads to NXT.  WWE has backed off on signing former ROH talents as soon as their contracts expire after being warned via a legal letter about potentially tampering.  Recently, talents have been told to reach out to WWE 90 days after their deals have expired.

Despite the set up and how he got to the dance, I support WWE pushing Jinder Mahal. It's refreshing and something we haven't seen before. Him and the Bollywood Boyz can make a great 3-man heel stable the likes of Edge, Ryder and Hawkins. He deserves a chance. But with that said, and I hate to say it, but do you think WWE is only pushing Mahal just to build a popular figure for the India market? It's a huge market and without the Great Khali, it just seems they are pushing Mahal to fill in Khali's place.

He's obviously getting the push to create a star for the Middle Eastern market.  I don't think it has to do with Khali not being there.  I think it has to do with trying to create something that will be marketable for that corner of the world.  That's just smart business.  I know everyone will think I am insane, but I really wouldn't be shocked to see Mahal end up with a WWE title run.

What is your take on the recent Jack Evans seizure angle at The Crash show? I honestly feel it is ridiculous that such a serious thing as a seizure would be used as a plot point in a wrestling angle.

It's no different than an injury angle in my mind.  If they created an angle that legitimately got fans upset or worried, touchdown, that is the point of professional wrestling - to take people on an emotional journey and make them want to see what happens next.  I get lots of emails from fans who claim nothing makes them care the way they did with the Attitude Era or ECW or the NWA, etc. because everything feels too choreographed or too "fake", but then they get upset when something catches them and makes them believe or worried about someone.  If they make you believe someone is hurt or in danger, that is no different from fans in 1989 believing that Terry Funk broke Ric Flair's neck only to find out it was an angle.  That angle drew money for the NWA.  If they can parlay this Evans deal into a drawing angle, they did the right thing.  If the audience gets upset and rejects it, well, then they went too far.

Before Charlotte/Ashley Flair premiered in WWE what other wrestling promotion did she work for? I don't ever recall hearing of her before appearing in WWE. Where did she she receive her training? From who? Would you call her a late bloomer?

She was signed to a WWE developmental deal without ever stepping into a ring.  She dida little training with former WCW star Lodi in North Carolina but she never, to the best of my knowledge, worked the independent scene.

There was a film long ago entitled Walking Tall depicting the life of Sheriff Buford Pusser. In it it was revealed that he was at one time a professional wrestler. Would you have any information about the wrestling career of Buford Pusser? How long did he wrestle? Where? For what promotion? Things like that. Thanks.

Pusser wrestled in the Memphis area as Buford the Bull, but not for a long extended time period.    It was before he became more well known.   Later, he did some special referee appearances as well.
