WHY HOUSE OF HORRORS SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN ON PAYBACK (AND NOT THE REASON YOU THINK), VINCE WASTING THE WCW AND ECW ASSETS, THE JOKE THAT IS THE 30 DAY TITLE DEFENSE RULE AND MORE

Whatever happened to WWE's "rule" of having to defend your title within 30 days?

It went out the window when they made the odd move of putting it on Brock Lesnar.  Of course, don’t be shocked if they have a heel GM, like Steph, strip a babyface of the belt when they don’t defend it in 30 days.  At the end of the day, the “rule” is a joke at this point.

I was really disappointed with the HOH match on Payback, and did not realize it was not a title match. Which made me wonder what the whole point of the match was.

I was also disappointed and agree that once they pulled the Title stipulation from the match, without telling us or explaining why, there was no point as to why a Smackdown talent was on a Raw PPV.  When Bray Wyatt enacted his rematch clause, it made sense.  Once that was taken away, there was no reason for it.  And after seeing it, I wish they had never done it at all.  It was horrible.

On both Raw and SD, it seems the top guys are all vying for the secondary titles; why is no one going after the main titles? Or am I just not getting something?

Well, as mentioned above Brock Lesnar is nowhere to be found due to his contract and WWE’s poor decision to put the Universal Title on him.  I think there is a good chance that they viewership is dropping for that very reason.  Fans want to see the Title in play and it’s not.  On Smackdown, Randy Orton was tied up with Bray Wyatt, so I didn’t have a problem with them focusing on the US Title.  And they did set up Jinder Mahal as the number one contender.  The main issue is on Raw in my view.

In my view regarding the purchases of WCW and ECW, I think Vince dropped the ball. Instead of destroying both companies, I think he could've made a lot of money, at least in the short term, keeping both exactly how they were, minus a little time to tie loose ends with arena bookings and other miscellaneous. Selling out arenas and merchandise for both, plus WWE on top of that. Every so often you can have talents running in and invading any of the 3. Sure it's a lot of work, but he has more than enough resources, expertise and business savvy to get it done. I know with all the politics of him not wanting to work with certain people, and vice versa, it wouldn't have happened. But I definitely think it was worth a shot. I mean hey, he did crash and burn with the XFL. I even think it could've lasted a little longer than the XFL. What are your thoughts and take on it?

I couldn’t agree more.  I think WWE wasted two strong assets when they used WCW and ECW so poorly.  They left a lot of money on the table doing it.

In WWE, if a talent(s) has a storyline injury, or otherwise not required to be on camera, in most instances are they still required to be backstage at TV? Or they can pretty much stay home or go on vacation or do whatever until the company tells them to be there?

If the talent is rehabbing an injury that is serious, they don’t have to come to TV.  They need to focus on their rebab.  Usually with storyline reasons, unless it’s due to the talent doing a movie or something along those lines, they generally go to the shows, like Roman Reigns did when they shot the angle with Braun Strowman.
