NXT ON WEST COAST, BRING IT TO THE TABLE UPDATE, STING IN TEXAS, SGT. SLAUGHTER AND MORE WWE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2017-05-04 13:25:00

WWE NXT is running tonight in Phoenix, Arizona with Bobby Roode, Asuka, Drew McIntyre, Hideo Itami, DIY and more.  They will be in Riverside, CA tomorrow and San Diego on 5/6.  If anyone is attending this weekend' event, we are seeking live reports.

NXT will also have shows in Florida this weekend tomorrow in Gainesville, FL and Saturday 5/6 in St. Petersburg.

WWE is moving forward with Bring It To The Table as a monthly series.   We are told the latest episode, which debuts Monday, will feature reaction to the House of Horrors match, so it was filmed after the PPV.  JBL, Corey Graves and Peter Rosenberg will be the regulars for the series, so for those wondering if Paul Heyman would be returning, it appears the answer to that is no.

WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter will be appearing at the 5/13 Altoone Curve game at their second pro wrestling themed night.  The team released the following announcement:

WWE Hall of Famer and Marine Corps veteran Sgt. Slaughter will be the guest of honor at the second-ever pro wrestling night, presented by Warners Landscaping and Property Maintenance at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Saturday, May 13. Slaughter will be throwing out a first pitch as well as a meet and greet with fans. Phoenix Pro Wrestling will again be in attendance mixing in wrestling fun throughout the game as well as a live post-game wrestling show following a spectacular wrestling-themed fireworks show.

Sgt. Slaughter, one of the most recognized figures in professional wrestling today, both in and out of the squared circle, began his professional wrestling career in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since his debut in 1975, the 6' 6" 320-pound former military drill instructor has held every major title in the competitive world of professional wrestling. Not only does Sgt. Slaughter still hold attendance records and area and PPV-Events throughout the world, but he's also been voted by his peers as one of the "Greatest Champions" in the history of professional wrestling. One of the most impressive features of Sgt. Slaughter's wide spread recognition is his jutting square jaw. Sgt. Slaughter epitomizes not only power and courage when he is in a wrestling arena, but his devotion to promoting and defending the ideas of patriotism is unparalleled.

Altoona will return home on Thursday, May 11 to begin a four-game home stand against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Tickets are available online at AltoonaCurve.com, by phone at 877.99.CURVE or at the PNG Field box office.
