SOME OF THIS WEEKEND’S CRAZIEST WWE BOOKING WILL NOT HAPPEN IN THE RING

By Dave Scherer on 2017-04-27 12:39:00

Due to next week’s European tour, both the Raw and Smackdown brands have a light weekend of action.

The Raw brand has the Payback PPV on Sunday, live from San Jose, CA.  We will have full coverage here on the site.  Monday’s Raw is in Sacramento, CA.  Then they get to fly across the US, and then across the Atlantic for Wednesday’s house show in Rome, Italy.  I have said it before but it bears repeating.  Whoever is responsible for booking a West Coast loop before a European tour should be forced to go on that tour and see how brutal that travel schedule is.  It’s not that difficult to book an East Coast tour before sending the wrestlers on a ten hour flight to Europe.  Adding another at least five hour flight from California to the journey is borderline sadistic.  It’s not only the booking of storylines that make me scratch my head sometimes in WWE.

Smackdown's weekend consists of a house show on Monday in Stockton, CA before Tuesday’s TV in Fresno, CA.  Then they have a similar brutal trek to Glasgow, Scotland for Thursday’s live event.  Again, whoever booked this tour should be forced to go on it.

NXT is back in action tonight with a show in Kansas City, MO.  The touring group continues on to St. Louis, MO tomorrow and Southhaven, MS on Saturday.  The local group has shows tomorrow in Venice, FL and Saturday in Orlando, FL.

If you are going to any of the shows and can send a report, please drop me a line.
