GIVING JINDER MAHAL A CHANCE, MORE ECW STARS IN THE HALL, “SPECIAL” PEOPLE THAT ATTACK THE SITE AND MORE

I saw a writer from another site attack you on Twitter, Dave.  He said he reached out with a peace offering and that you attacked him.  It sounded odd to me since I know you guys and the integrity you have.   Then he tweeted out the email that he sent and he started it off by attacking you guys and saying you stole a story from him, which given your reputation and his, I found ridiculous!  My question to you is do you encounter people like him often?  How can you even respond to someone that doesn't even know the difference between attacking someone and a peace offering?

Ah, that guy is definitely special.  Really, really special.  He did indeed email us, accusing Mike of stealing a story from him.  Now, that in and of itself is a joke since Mike Johnson has been breaking stories for decades and has a sterling reputation and the person in question?  Well he is a guy that has attacked us repeatedly on social media, with unfounded claims, trying to get a rub I guess.  So when he says he was making a peace offering, than anyone with a brain who read his email sees he was actually being rude, well you just have to chalk it up as him being, well, special.  Luckily, I don’t encounter many people like him.  If someone can’t see that he was completely out of line, I don’t waste my time even listening to them.

I looked at all of the WWE HOF inductees to date, and I've noticed something rather peculiar: there's little to no representation of ECW alumni in the hall. There's plenty of names from WWF/E, WCW, NWA, WCCW and beyond, but aside from guys like Mick Foley, Terry Funk and Steve Austin, there seems to be no interest for recognizing wrestlers from one of the most influential promotions ever. Paul Heyman, Bam Bam Bigelow, Tommy Dreamer, Chris Candido, RVD, Tazz, The Sandman, Dean Malenko, Mikey Whipwreck and so many others should have been inducted by now. Your thoughts?

I definitely think that there are a lot of worthy talents from ECW and they are definitely underrepresented in the WWE Hall Of Fame.  With a little luck, when Paul Heyman goes in (which is a slam dunk), it will be an ECW themed class.

When the eventual biopic about Chris Benoit goes into production and is ramping up for release, do you expect a lot of public and legal blowback from WWE? Even if the filmmakers do everything they can to reduce the possibility of legal actions (composite characters, etc.), I'd imagine that Vince and Jerry McDevitt will be pretty proactive in blasting the project at every angle.

I honestly don’t know.  I personally have no interest in the project and I think WWE would be better off just distancing themselves from it.  I don’t see their being a huge audience for it and I think they would be better off just letting it have it’s short run and then go away.

With Vader's health issues, which have been mentioned on this site as being life-threatening, why is he still wrestling?

I have no good answer for that. I know if it were me, I wouldn’t be.

With Jinder Mahal being the new no. 1 contender, I'm all for having new blood in that spot but the guy hasn't won a match in 3 years.  Shouldn't one be built up first before becoming a top contender?  Rather than the reverse?  It's hard to believe or buy into a talent and take him seriously if he never wins a match.  And now all of a sudden challenging the champ in the main event of a PPV.

First off, how could you forget him beating Heath Slater on Raw last August?  OK, maybe you could forget that.  There are different ways of doing things.  Sure, you can build up a guy to be the contender.  But this appears to be more of a case where they had a guy who has never been given a chance a surprise spot.  If he goes on and shows what he can do and has a very close match with Orton and then gets elevated, it’s a good thing.  Sometimes I think the internet fans overthink things.  We all complained that Drew McIntyre was wasted in Three Man Band.  Well so was Jinder.  I say give it a chance.
