In between the Smackdown and 205 Live broadcasts tonight in Uncasville, CT, it was announced to the live crowd that the Raw brand would present a Bad Blood PPV on Sunday 7/9, the first time WWE has utilized that PPV title since 2004.
The PPV was presented three times between 1997 and 2004, with all of the events headlined by Hell in A Cell bouts. The initial Bad Blood PPV in October 1997 featured the first HIAC bout with The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels as well as the debut of Kane.
The 2017 edition will be held at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, which hosted Wrestlemania 11 and the 2000 No Mercy PPV headlined by Triple H vs. Cactus Jack in what was to be Mick Foley's retirement match.
