Tommy Dreamer, Bubba Ray Dudley and Velvet Sky will be appearing on a new episode of Impractical Jokers tonight on TruTV.
East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA) announced the complete list of competitors for the 2017 installment of the Super 8 tournament, which was one of the trailblazing events that spotlighted indy wrestling stars.  Scheduled are CZW champ Joe Gacy, Lio Rush, Joey Janella, Timmy Lou Retton, Brandon Scott, Zombie King, The Human Rocket LSG and Anthony Bennett, who was seen in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic.  The show takes place on 4/29 at the Woodbury Heights Community Center in Woodbury Heights, NJ.

Conan O'Brien did a segment on his TBS show where he was training as a luchador under Cassandro, who helps helps Conan and Andy Richter get into fighting shape as el Gallo Loco and Bebé Malo.  You can watch the segment by clicking here.

They also released a behind the scenes feature on the segment, which was filmed at Hercules Moderno Gym in Mexico City, which you can check out at this link.

There was a Roddy Piper reference on this week's episodes of The Goldbergs on ABC where the lead character Adam ponders changing his name and one of the choices listed is "Adam Roddy Piper."  The series did a tribute to '80s pro wrestling a few seasons back.  Creator Adam Goldberg grew up a big wrestling fan and dedicated the wrestling episode to The Ultimate Warrior after his passing.

There was also a wrestling reference on TVLand comedy Teachers where a student notes that without gravity, pro wrestling wouldn't work.

To complete the trifecta, a recent episode of NBC's Superstore had America Ferrara's character admitting she wanted to be The Ultimate Warrior when she was little.

The PBS documentary Tales of Masked Men: A Journey through Lucha Libre is now streaming on Netflix.  Thanks to Paul Jordan.
