HARDYS LEAVING TNA WITHOUT DROPPING THE TAG TITLES, KANE, WWE USING NON-WRESTLER AS AN IN-RNG PERFORMER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-03-02 10:00:00

Why would TNA turn down the Hardys' offer to return one time to lose the TNA tag titles? Seems like a good way to give talent the rub. Bitterness over them leaving?

Possibly, but I think it was a case of the company not wanting to give the Hardys more TV time if they were leaving and instead focus on talents who they needed to invest in for the long-term.  While I think the fact that TNA's relationship with them ended in such a sudden manner was a real shame and I have no doubt the Hardys will be missed, at the end of the day, TNA has to focus on what they have, not what they don't.  They don't have the Hardys.  I personally would have had them come in and do a 2-3 week story that sees them lose the belts to Decay and then teleport away, never to be "seen again" but that's just me.

How can WWE creative justify having one almost 5 minute segment where Orton burns the Wyatt Compound on Smackdown being better than an entire 3 hour Raw?

They don't have to.  It's two different shows and the Randy Orton segment was something that worked because of the Bray character, which Raw has nothing like.

Any rumours floating around about UK leagues streaming on WWE?  Seems like some awesome wrestling going on there.

We've covered this quite a bit on the site and were the first to report on it.  It appears WWE is just waiting for the right time to pull the trigger.  My guess is after Wrestlemania has come and gone.

Has there ever been a case where a major promotion has hired a non-wrestler for a role like camera person, writer, etc. and that person ended up becoming a wrestler because someone backstage thought they'd be good at it?

I don't know that I would consider him good in the classical wrestling sense, but Michael Cole would certainly fit the bill of what you mean.

Was Kane released by WWE?

No, he's just being utilized on television at the moment.
