While tonight's Smackdown Live episode was promoted as setting up WWE champion Bray Wyatt's new challenger at Wrestlemania 33 after Randy Orton announced he would not face Wyatt despite winning the 2017 Royal Rumble, what viewers received was really just a tease for next week's episode.
AJ Styles and Luke Harper were the final competitors in tonight's battle royal to determine who would now face Wyatt, but the story was that they each ended up hitting the floor at the same time. WWE Smackdown Live Commissioner Daniel Byan then announced they would face off next week to determine Bray's challenger.
So, we are looking at Styles, Wyatt or perhaps Orton in that challenger slot on 4/2 in Orlando, Florida.
