I couldn't help but notice that the Elimination Chamber PPV is going head to head with the most watched show in television, the Walking Dead. I can't help but think that was horrible planning on WWE's part, as the target audiences and fan bases are identical. But a thought occurred to me, could WWE be attempting to lure the "smart marks" from the Walking Dead? From what I've read, including this site, Cena vs Orton is not the direction that WWE is going for with Wrestlemania. So, if those who follow on the Internet know this, perhaps they will watch to see the title change. Fair assessment, or too much credit for WWE?

I think you are putting too much thought into it.  The fact of the matter is WWE runs on Sunday nights and they will be going against big shows or games a lot of the time.  The company won’t take on the Super Bowl or Championship Sunday in the NFL, but they can’t worry about the other weeks of the year, especially for B Shows.  They don’t sell PPVs any more either, so the need to get that “buy” is gone.  They know that people can watch watch the first hour of the PPV on the east coast, pause it, watch The Walking Dead and them come back due to the WWE Network.

Has Trump’s travel ban affected anyone in WWE, NXT, TNA or ROH? I heard that the NBA was looking into it over concerns about the impact it would have on a few players and was wondering if it had any effect on the big promotions?

Not yet as it has not been implemented and is still tied up in the courts.  And TNA hasn’t run a show since it was implemented, so they are excluded.  I don’t know off the top of my head if any talents that work in the US are from any of the seven countries

While I'm glad Samoa Joe is now on the Raw roster, why are we being treated to another cowardly heel? How else are we to interpret having Joe be HHH's bodyguard or hit man?

I saw nothing cowardly in what Joe did.  I think he kicked ass like a heel.  I interpreted as Joe sticking up for a guy that reached out and brought him into NXT and as a guy that was in the crowd when Rollins showed up at HIS promotion and disrupted HIS show.  I see it as NXT pride.

Carmella was a fresh face and was building some momentum after her call up to the main roster, but pairing her with Ellsworth is deflating all of that momentum.  What good does pairing her with Ellsworth do for her?

I think it is probably being done to keep her on TV at a time where she doesn’t fit into the top two feuds.  I am fine with it because it gives her a storyline to keep her on TV.

Do you think that Carmella/Ellsworth is the new Eve/Zak Ryder?

Ellsworth is clearly a comedy character so I expect it to end badly for him.  So you know, you may be on to something.
