This Friday 1/13 at 8 PM EST, AXS TV will broadcast a new episode of New Japan Pro Wrestling, featuring the first of four episodes that will cover the Wrestle Kingdom 11 event that took place on 1/4 at the Tokyo Dome.
This week's episode will feature the incredible IWGP championship bout between champion Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega. If you have been wondering what all the talk and buzz has been about, this is your chance to find out firsthand.
The commentary on the series is handled by WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and pro wrestler/MMA fighter Josh Barnett. In his latest blog on his official website, Jim Ross wrote that the matches will air in their entirety, which is great news.
AXS TV has been airing episodes of New Japan for several years, but usually features material that are months or years old. This will be the quickest turnaround from a live event to a broadcast on AXS TV to date and could be a sign that NJPW is open to having fresher material airing in the United States more often.
