How could WWE creative not realize what a huge mistake it was to put Brock Lesnar out in front of the Minnesota crowd and expect him to get booed?

Excellent, excellent question.  I put this one squarely on the boss, Vince McMahon.  He should have realized how the fans would have reacted, for a few reasons.  One, it was Minnesota, where Lesnar is hugely popular.  Two, Brock was there in person and Bill Goldberg wasn’t.  That matters to an audience.  And three, Brock has been a WWE guy for years now.  Goldberg hasn’t wrestled in over a decade and was only in the company for a short time. I think that Vince and company got a false read from the reaction that Goldberg got in Denver and made a mistake in how they tried to book the Raw segment.  I felt bad for Lesnar and Paul Heyman as they had to try and sell what was clearly a bad idea from creative.

Are you dreading four hours of Survivor Series as much as I am?

I am not dreading the Series per se, it’s more the four hour shows in general.  I get that they want to go long for WrestleMania, but the other shows?  I don’t need a four hour PPV.  And as we saw at SummerSlam, you can burn the crowd out when you go that long, or longer if they go past the 11 p.m. ET hour.  It’s too much most, if not all, of the time.

What is your perfect time for a wrestling PPV and a TV show?

I think a two hour TV show is optimal.  You get about 90 minutes of action which is perfect.  I am enjoying Smackdown a lot.  I wish Raw could go back to two hours.  As for PPVs, I am a big fan of the two hour and forty five minute model.  It is the perfect amount for me.

I was just reading an article on the site about how WWE obtained the "Last battle of Atlanta" footage, and a question popped in my mind I was hoping you could answer for me.As we all know in today's digital world most-if not all video recordings have some sort of time code on them so when you go back and look at it, you basically know when it was taken. My question is if WWE were to find/obtain some old footage, how would they go about finding out exactly when it took place? Would they contact a wrestling historian, or do they have someone that works for them they could go to for such a thing?

They do have people on staff that they would go to first.  I know they have reached out to people in the past.  My guess is that the would also use a Google search as well.

FloSports is charging 20 dollars a month for EVOLVE and whatever else they can sign.  Are they crazy?  I can get New Japan and WWE’s networks combined for less than that!

They would counter that you will get other sporting events on the channel as well, not just wrestling.  But if you are someone that only subscribes for the wrestling content, I agree with you, the price is pretty high when you compare what you get from WWE and NJPW.  I think it would be great if they could get other promotions on their service but even if they do, I don’t think they should cost more than WWE does.  I would love to see them keep signing promotions and offer a wrestling-only tier for $9.99.
