HARDYS-TNA, WWE-TRUMP AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-10-13 10:00:00

With TNA using Matt and Jeff Hardy's houses a lot for TNA footage, are they getting any kind of payment or compensation? Are they letting TNA use it and do things for free? On top of that, I would assume that TNA is at least paying for any damage caused on their property. Or maybe TNA has given the brothers some sort of stake in the company and Matt was not joking about buying TNA on twitter.

Matt Hardy does not have a stake in the company.  One would assume the company is paying the family for origination fees.

Do Matt and Jeff have any say/creative control in storylines about using their houses? I would also think that they have control over what can and can't be done on their own property.

Matt and Jeff Hardy do have say in how they are used.  Matt Hardy in particular is extremely involved in his own creative direction.

During Delete or Decay, how did they film the part where Rosemary kidnaps and is holding Maxell right near her face? If I were a child and saw Rosemary looking like that, I would be traumatized for life.

She picked him up and they filmed it.

Let's just say that you're the WWE and you acquire the TNA Wrestling video library. What would you do with it first? A documentary like the ones on ECW, AWA and World Class would be great. They'd also have the most well known content for their biggest new star, AJ Styles, as well as Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Austin Aries or even a possibly-returning Kurt Angle. Lots of possibilities for documentaries and collections.

You put out a definitive AJ Styles collection and then you start working on mining the content for the WWE Network.

With the recent comments from Donald Trump coming to light and WWE trying to champion women more, do you think it is time they distance themselves from Trump and remove him from the Hall of Fame? I know Vince has a personal relationship with him, but at some point shouldn’t he worry about, pardon the cliché, “What’s best for business”?

I would think so, but Trump and the McMahons have been friends for a long, long time, so my gut is that the company will stay silent on the matter.  It's not like he has been intricately involved in the company recently.
