If Dolph Ziggler loses tonight and doesn’t really retire, can we ever believe another WWE stipulation?

I think it would be a huge mistake if WWE did that.  I know it’s within their rights to tell a story, but I also think it will hurt their credibility with the customer as it seems like right, given the new direction that they have gone with Smackdown, they would want to be honest with their stipulations.

So, TNA President is open and honest about the state of TNA and its finances going into Bound For Glory, Dixie Carter then does her “normally I don’t address rumors” tweet.  Doesn’t she realize that when an office in her company makes the statement, they aren’t rumors?  What do you think of how she handled that?

That is a great question.  It would seem like the answer is no.  I think for someone that has experience in Public Relations how she handled it was pretty mind blowing.

As a follow up, do you think she had a duty to address where the money came from, not only with the talent but the fans?  Do you think she owes both an explanation?

I think that without any doubt, she owes her roster a full detailing of where the company is financially.  I think they have every right to know the state of the company and she needs to tell them what that is before they disperse for the rest of the year when the current tapings conclude.  Honestly, I think the fans deserve and explanation as well but I don’t expect her to give us one.  She can cite that if, for example, the company is only financed through the end of the year it could affect the company’s viewership on POP.

OK, one more follow up.  Do you think the drop in audience this week, after one of their biggest PPVs of the year, can be tied to the uncertain state of the company?

Yes, I do.  I do this for a living and it’s hard for me to get invested in a company that I don’t know the future of.

Can you make a good case for John Cena winning the Title tonight?

If a gun was at my head I guess I could, but I don’t see any reason to do it, for a few reasons.  One, he will be leaving soon to tape American Grit.  Two, it would really hurt AJ Styles’ momentum to lose now.  And three, if he wins the Title again it will be historic.  That is a big PPV kind of match, not a brand only one.
