WWE PPV VS. NATURAL DISASTERS, TONY NESE, HILLBILLY JIM IN THE WWE HOF AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-10-07 10:00:00

I've been really impressed with Tony Nese on Raw the last few weeks.  Where can I see more of his matches?

Nese has been wrestling regularly for EVOLVE and House of Hardcore over the last few years.  You can find his matches on their DVDs.  He's been all over the Northeast circuit as well.

Did TNA create the Grand Championship to replace the TNA title?

I don't believe so.  They created the title to try and do something unique and different.  I think they were on the right path but Drew Galloway getting hurt gutted the interest in the tournament final, so they will have to course correct and try to regain some ground.

How is Hillbilly Jim not in the WWE Hall of Fame?

To me, that is an excellent question.  He had a nice run as a loveable character and did a lot of great promotional and outreach work for the company and is still going strong beyond WWE as a radio DJ for Sirius XM.  He certainly deserves the induction.

Any update on Jimmy Snuka's legal situation?

There is slated to be a hearing on Snuka's mental health in December in court.  At that point, they will make a decision as to whether Snuka is still not mentally able to stand trial.

Has WWE ever canceled a PPV due to a natural disaster?

No, although they lost power at the In Your House: Beware of Dog PPV back in 1996.  Thankfully, the company has never had to cancel or reschedule a PPV.  I guess the closest would be canceling Raw a few years back due to the blizzard in the Northeast, but they still broadcast an episode from WWE HQ.
