WHAT'S NEXT FOR CM PUNK, TURNER TALKING WCW, ECW ARENA AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-09-17 10:00:00

I saw the CM Punk fight, and I happen to agree with what Dana White said afterwards regarding Punk. I think if he continues with MMA it should be at a lower level than UFC. With that said, didn't Punk sign a mult-fight deal? Even if it was a one off, considering what he was paid, doesn't that send a horrible message to those on the undercard and prelims, sort of like Vince talking about the brass ring?

Punk did sign a muti-year deal.  I think his future with UFC will be decided by how many PPVs he moved.  If UFC moved a ridiculous amount of PPV buys with Punk on the show in comparison to how a similar show would have done without him, then they have good cause to move forward with putting him in another fight or at least keeping him under contract and not letting a competitor like Bellator get their hands on him.  If not, then UFC sort of has their hands tied as to whether they continue the relationship.

Do you think Summer Rae is in the rent don’t buy status like Dave Scherer says ?

She's hardly utilized, so certainly when it comes to the level of importance, even post-brand split, she is not up at the top.  So, I can see why Dave has said that.  I personally think she's very good at what she does and I'm shocked WWE doesn't utilize her more.

Has there ever been to your knowledge any reaching out by WWE or someone else to interview Ted Turner concerning his experiences and thoughts regarding the history of WCW?

To the best of my knowledge, no.

Who was the Japanese wrestler that taught Erik Watts the STF?

You are thinking of Kensuke Sasaki.

What is the ECW Arena when it isn't a wrestling venue?

The 2300 Arena is a venue that is used for other events, including concerts, MMA, boxing and more.
