What did you think of this past Tuesday opening for smackdown live. AJ Styles walks into a locker room where Baron Corbin, Eric Rowan, Dolph Ziggler and Apollo Cruz are all being casual and kosher. Did creative not realize that 3 of them just got done feuding with one another. Dolph, Apollo, and Corbin.

I always hate when they do segments like that.  If something is on camera, it should follow storylines.  Two babyfaces wouldn’t be in the same locker room with two heels like that.  I am with you on this one.

Does the WWE normally pay for any and all surgery that a wrestler like Finn Balor had or does some of it come out of his own pocket? Also will Finn be paid his minimum during his rehab to live off of until he is medically cleared to come back to wrestle?

When a wrestler gets hurt during a match, WWE always pays for the surgery and the rehab.  Finn will be paid at least his downside while he is out recovering.

Love the site and all the hard work you put into it.  Mike thanks for all of the running around and lack of sleep Summer Slam week.  In my opinion top to bottom NXT Takeover was a better show than Summer Slam and at this point I would pay to see an NXT show before I pay to see a main roster show.  With that said is there ever any heat on the NXT roster from the main roster (at least those who were never in NXT) when they put on an amazing show like that?  I know there shouldn't be but come on there is still politics in wrestling even if it isn't as prevalent as it once was.

There’s no heat on the NXT roster at all.  In some cases, the WWE talents came up though the system so they have an affinity for it.  In others, the talents know that the difference between the two brands isn’t the work ethic of the wrestlers but rather the creative and how the storylines are presented.  I liked NXT much better too, but it wasn’t because the talent didn’t work hard at SummerSlam.

You may think that I'm being overcritical, but I have to say it: while I enjoy women's wrestling, I am not a fan of Nikki Bella. Never really have been. I actually think that she's the most overrated female wrestler in the world, and that includes the time off due to her surgery. Every time WWE mentions that she was "the greatest Divas Champion ever," I get irritated. I do believe that circumstances other than "hard work" led her to gain that distinction. I have never considered her to be among WWE's best female performers, and I'll be rooting against her at Backlash. There, I've ranted, your thoughts, please.

I agree with you 100 percent.  Nikki came in as eye candy and has worked hard to become solid, but she is not in the upper pantheon of all time WWF/E women’s wrestlers, not even close.

I really feel that the WWE needs to give the Universal  title to Kevin Owens. I was shocked that Balor got such a quick push upon arrival. As good as Finn is in the ring, his promos are not as solid. With Balor on the shelf, it opens the door to make someone else. KO is gold on the mic, he has great matches whenever called upon. Yeah, sure, his physique is not  great; but, he is 100 times more spectacular in the ring that most of the guys with good bodies. Do you expect KO to get his chance sooner than later?

I was happy Balor got the belt.  First impressions matter and booking Balor that strongly was great for his character.  I think Seth Rollins is the easy, popular choice but I wouldn’t do it.  Rollins already has his spot at the top.  I love the idea of Cass having Roman Reigns beaten and Owens comes in to steal the Title, then Cass and KO feud.  It would be a nice new element to the top of the Raw card.
