THE NEW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION, TITLE BELTS BEING UNIFORM, LOOKING AT ROLLINS’ MOVE SET AND MORE

With the recent horrible injury to Finn Balor & the injury to Sting do you think it's time that they ban Seth Rollins from performing the turnbuckle powerbomb? It seems like it puts a ton of force on the upper back & I always cringe whenever he executes it.

As I said on my hotline yesterday, I think it’s time to take a long look at Rollins' move set and see which of his spots have more risk than reward.  The Turnbuckle Powerbomb is on I would definitely consider retiring.

So  one of the sweetest finishers out there, the Curb Stomper, is the most dangerous thing since anthrax and has to be banned ... but the Coup de Grace jumping, feet-jointed, from 5 feet higher, into another human being's upper body is kosher: what gives?

The Coup is actually an easier move to control.  Balor can pull back as he lands and the guy taking it has more time to prepare for it.

One of the complaints I've read from some fans is about "Super" Cena.  That being the way he would make superhuman comebacks, kick out of finishers, etc.  Well, did anyone pay attention to the Roman Reigns-Chris Jericho match on Raw?  Reigns powered out of the Walls of Jericho, overcame being hit in his "bad eye" then kicked out of the codebreaker.  My question is, couldn't be argued at least to a point that the "Super" Cena bit wasn't so much John Cena wanting to no-sell but Vince McMahon booking certain babyfaces as "super"?  I'm not arguing fans being understandably frustrated at it, I'm saying it's what McMahon does and you have to just accept it.

Speaking of my hotline, I said that yesterday as well.  People can boo Reigns all they want, it’s not going to change how Vince McMahon books the guy.  In fact, he is probably smirking a bit when they react that way.

Up until the creation of the reinstated Women's championship, all the title belts in WWE had a distinct and uniquely different look.  Now they have moved towards homogenizing the look of all their new belts.  Why did they all of a sudden decide to make all the belts look the same, and would you have done the same thing, or created different designs for each new belt?

It definitely makes things much more uniform.  I get why they did it.  They have two brands and some fans notice every little thing.  If one Title looks “better” than the other brand’s, that gets people talking.  I hadn’t really thought about it until now, but I think it’s a good idea to have that level of uniformity.

After watching Jericho cut a promo about the Universal title on RAW, I think they are making a mistake not giving him the belt. If they are going to create a new title give it some clout by letting it be held by Jericho and the "new era" chase him for it. Thoughts?

I have enjoyed Jericho’s work of late, it has been really strong.  With that said, I don’t think it helps the brand much by putting the Title on an older guy.  Part of WWE’s issue of late is that new talent has emerged and I think in this case they need to think younger, not older.
