WWE acknowledged that WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor was injured last night during his match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam in a posting on their official website this afternoon.
WWE stated that Balor suffered a possible Tear of the labrum in his right shoulder taking a powerbomb into the barricade. Falor actually dislocated his shoulder and popped it in himself immediately after the spot.
The company is currently medically evaluating Balor and will determine the course of action going forward. There is no word yet on how long Balor will be out of action nor what this means for the status of the universal Championship, which was just established with yesterday's match.
