I am really excited for SummerSlam.  On paper, it looks like a better show than WrestleMania.  Am I crazy here?

I don’t think you are crazy at all.  I feel the exact same way.  In doing the Tip Sheet, it jumped out at me how strong the card is from top to bottom.  I too am excited for tonight.  I hope the show delivers the way that I think it will.

What do you think will main event SummerSlam?

The argument could be made that is should be either of the Title matches, or Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton.  I don’t see them going with the WWE Title match, despite the really good build that has been done with it.  If it’s me, since a new Champion (of the flagship brand no less), is being crowned, if I had to guess, that will close the show.

So Eva Maria failed a Wellness Test for Adderall and says she will appeal it since she has a prescription.  What do you think will happen?

I remember when pretty much the same thing happened with Adam Rose.  WWE did not overturn his suspension.  I don’t see them doing it here either.  It is the talent’s obligation to make the company aware of prescriptions and she didn’t do it.

In the last week we have had three talents fail Wellness Tests and get suspended.  We also had Roman Reigns, the champion, fail and get suspended plus lose his Title.  Brock Lesnar, on the other hand, fails two tests and is wrestling at SummerSlam.  Have you talked to anyone in the locker room about this and how they feel about it?

I have and it’s fair to say that there are some people that resent the double standard, just as there are some that resent part time wrestlers in general.  With that said, the bottom line is that Lesnar was able to negotiate the deal that he got and that is just how things go.

If he won’t sign a full time deal, would you still book Kota Ibushi to win the Cruiserweight Classic?

No, I wouldn’t.  To me, whoever wins the tournament is the de facto champion (and who knows, maybe actually be crowned as such).  That man has to be under contract to the company and also has to be part of the division on Raw.
