THE GREATNESS OF THE CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC, BOOKER T’S VALUE TO WWE, SHOULD VINCE HAVE BROUGHT BACK WCW AND ECW AND MORE

The CWC has shown us not only great wrestling matches and storytelling, but also what great commentary can be.  Ranallo and Bryan have been outstanding in terms of calling moves, providing background info about the wrestlers, and raising their voices at just the right moment when things start to pick up during the match.  How much do Ranallo and Bryan add to the presentation of the CWC, and how different would it be if say, Michael Cole and JBL or Byron Saxton were on commentary?

Bryan and Ranallo do a fantastic job, no doubt.  I love listening to them call the match.  With that said, JBL and Cole can do great commentary as well when given the chance.  It all comes down to how they are directed by Vince McMahon.  Also keep in mind that in the Cruiserweight Classic, there aren’t much in the way of storylines to be touched on.  It’s just call great action, which is any announcer’s dream.

Was it pre-planned for Triple H to come out from behind the curtain at the end of the Cedric Alexander match?  Or was it a spur of the moment thing in response to the crowd chanting "please sign Cedric?"

I haven’t asked but since they didn’t know in advance that the crowd would chant that it sure appeared to be an audible to me, and an excellent one at that.  HHH coming out at the end was such an awesome way to end that match.

All of the belts for the different weight divisions in the UFC look exactly the same.  We have seen the WWE use the same design for the new Women's belt as the heavyweight belt.  Knowing that there will be at least two new titles created in the near future (universal and cruiserweight), do you think they should continue to use the same design with different colour schemes for each new belt, or use completely different designs for every belt, like they have always done in the past?

I have already seen pictures of the new Universal belt and it looks to be the red equivalent of the WWE Title.

If Vince McMahon wanted to shake things up would he should go against the people that push him to limits in the 90s, WCW and ECW.  My question is would it be better if they did the brand spilt with WWE, WCW and ECW instead?

History tells me that would be a no.  It is pretty clear to me that any product that Vince McMahon puts on TV that is not WWE or its creation would not be placed on a level playing field.  We saw it was the WCW invasion.  We saw it with the rebirth of ECW.  It is not how Vince like to do things.  Plus, they are companies that have been out of business for over 15 years.  They are the past.

During his HOF induction  Booker T was saying how Linda and the McMahons greeted him warmly when he arrived to WWE, how they were happy that "we finally got you." I guess my question is, how does this supposed elation bear out with reality? Seems to me Booker was on the jobbing end of things for most of his career in WWE ... against Rock (as an illiterate buffoon)... against Austin ... against HHH (at WrestleMania no less, which surprised even Booker) ... when the Kliq implied he was gonna be a member until they kicked him in the mouth during the same segment. When one thinks of Booker in WCW and his high level of performance, how is it not plausible to conclude that his stint in WWE has been underwhelming at best (yeah he was a "king" in WWE ... but, um, so was Harley Race)?

There is a disconnect here.  I get the point you are making, but the flip side is that you are putting your viewpoint onto the McMahons.  They meant that they were happy to get a very versatile and talented wrestler to work for the their company.  That doesn’t mean that they will push him to the top of the card.  Not everyone who is really good will get the chance at the top of the card in WWE, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t valuable!
