Mauro and Daniel talk about the first round and Daniel talks about the different styles from the kicking of Kota Ibushi and the flying of Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali. Daniel says he was most impressed with the match between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
We go to Corey Graves in the Control Center. Corey says the ante will be upped in round two.
Kota Ibushi faces Cedric Alexander tonight. We will also see Gran Metalik versus Tajiri.
Gran Metalik says he wears his mask with pride because it represents Mexico and makes him strive to do more. He says his style is very aerial and he has moves that he will invent. He came here to have his and raised and he will dedicate his win to Mexico.
Tajiri mentions he has been wrestling for more than 23 years and that is longer than the age of some of the other wrestlers in the tournament. He says he has the advantage of experience but the disadvantage of age. He says he wants to achieve something great before he retires.
Match Number One: Tajiri versus Gran Metalik in a Second Round Match
They lock up and Tajiri with a waist lock but Metalik with a reversal and Tajiri with a reversal of his own. Metalik with a side head lock. Tajiri with a head scissors and Metalik escapes. They lock up and Tajiri with a side head lock. Tajiri with a shoulder tackle. Metalik with an arm drag but Tajiri with one of his own and Metalik with another one. Tajiri and Metalik with leg sweeps and near falls.
They lock up and Tajiri with a side head lock and take down but Metalik with a head scissors. Tajiri escapes and traps the legs but Metalik with a Fujiwara arm bar. Tajiri escapes but Metalik with a near fall. Tajiri with an octopus but Metalik counters into an ankle lock. Tajiri with a crucifix for a near fall. Tajiri gets another near fall. Metalik with an arm drag into an arm bar. Metalik holds on to the arm bar but Tajiri holds on. Tajiri with chops but Metalik with a head scissors and Tajiri goes to the floor. Metalik misses a baseball slide but he does not miss with a super kick. Tajiri is sent back into the ring but he goes to the floor and trips Metalik and kicks Metalik.
Tajiri with a knee drop and hits a neck breaker and gets a near fall. Tajiri with a reverse chin lock. Tajiri with a sleeper on Metalik. Tajiri with a head scissors and he bridges to add more pressure. Tajiri drives Metalik's head into the mat before turning it into a figure four head scissors. Tajiri kicks Metalik in the chest but Metalik with a chop. Tajiri with another kick. Tajiri chokes Metalik in the corner.
Metalik with a series of forearms but Tajiri sends Metalik to the apron. Metalik with an enziguiri followed by a springboard drop kick. Metalik goes up top and walks the ropes and hits a somersault plancha onto Tajiri on the floor. Metalik sends Tajiri into the ring but Tajiri kicks Metalik to the apron. Metalik blocks a kick and hits a dragon screw leg whip in the ropes. Metalik goes up top and walks the ropes for a springboard elbow drop but he can only get a near fall.
Metalik with a springboard back elbow for a near fall. Metalik sets for the Metalik Driver but Tajiri escapes and connects with elbows. Tajiri with a back heel kick. Tajiri sends Metalik into the turnbuckles and then puts him in the tree of woe. Tajiri sets for the baseball slide and connects. Tajiri gets a near fall. Tajiri with a round kick but Metalik with a boot to the head. Tajiri with a power bomb for a near fall.
Tajiri misses the Buzzsaw kick but Tajiri with a sunset flip into a submission hold that traps the arms. Metalik kicks Tajiri to get out of the hold. Tajiri with a round kick but he misses the Buzzsaw Kick and Metalik hits the Metalik Driver for the three count.
Winner: Gran Metalik (Advances to face the winner of Jack Gallagher versus Akira Tozawa)
They shake hands after the match and Metalik shows respect to Tajiri by bowing to him.

We are back and Corey Graves talks about the Kota Ibushi versus Cedric Alexander match. Corey mentions that Ibushi was the pick of many people to win.
Cedric Alexander says it hasn't set in that he is here. Cedric says a lot of people told him he would not make it, but he will prove them wrong. This validates everything that the believes in and that he is one of the best wrestlers. This is the apex of the industry and he can say he made it here.
Kota Ibushi says the ring is where he can express himself. He says his motivation is to make people happy. He says he has wrestled around the world, now he gets to wrestle in front of the world.
Match Number Two: Cedric Alexander versus Kota Ibushi in a Second Round Match
Alexander with a wrist lock and snap mare into an arm bar. Ibushi with a wrist lock and Alexander with a reversal and snap mare while holding on to the wrist lock. Ibushi with a back flip to reverse into a side head lock and take down. Alexander gets a near fall while Ibushi holds on to the side head lock. Ibushi with a shoulder tackle. Ibushi with a waist lock and Alexander with a switch and arm bar.
Ibushi with a wrist lock and he starts to work on the shoulder with an arm wringer. Alexander with a single leg sweep and arm drag. Ibushi with an arm drag. Ibushi misses a kick and Alexander floats over and hits a head scissors take down but Ibushi swats a drop kick away. Alexander gets a near fall and then Ibushi gets a near fall with a rollup. Alexander with a waist lock into a side head lock. Alexander holds on when Ibushi tries to send him off the ropes. Alexander with a side head lock take down. Ibushi with a rollup for a near fall. Ibushi with forearms but Alexander holds on to the side head lock.
Ibushi sends Alexander to the mat but Alexander with a shoulder tackle. Alexander with a waist lock and Ibushi with a standing switch. Alexander with an elbow and European uppercut but Ibushi with a round kick and Alexander goes down. Alexander send Ibushi to the apron and Ibushi chops Alexander and hits a springboard drop kick that sends Alexander to the floor. Ibushi goes for the double jump moonsault but Alexander moves and then Alexander with a suicide dive and he sends Ibushi back into the ring. Alexander with a springboard clothesline for a near fall.
Alexander with a chop and Ibushi falls into the ropes. Alexander with another chop and Ibushi falls to the mat and Alexander gets a near fall. Alexander with a boot to the chest and he gets a near fall. Ibushi with forearms and kicks. Alexander with a chop and Ibushi goes down. Alexander gets a near fall. Alexander with a front face lock and he sets for a suplex but Ibushi blocks it. Ibushi lands on his feet on a suplex attempt but Alexander with an elbow. Ibushi with a drop kick and both men are down. Alexander with a forearm and Ibushi fires back. They continue to alternate and Ibushi with a back fist and kick. Ibushi with a corkscrew standing moonsault for a near fall.
Alexander gets his boots up and Ibushi with an Exploder that sends Alexander to the floor. Ibushi goes for the double jump moonsault and he hits it. Both men are down and the referee starts his count. Ibushi sends Alexander back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Ibushi signals for the power bomb but Alexander blocks it. Alexander with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Alexander waits for Ibushi to get up and Ibushi moves. Ibushi chops Alexander and Alexander is on the turnbuckles. Ibushi tries for a Frankensteiner but Alexander holds on to the ropes and lands on his feet. Alexander with a forearm but Ibushi with a Pele Kick.
Ibushi sets for the power bomb but Alexander lands on his feet. Alexander with an enziguiri in the corner followed by a brain buster for a near fall. Alexander with a round kick for a near fall. Alexander goes to apron but he returns to the ring and pulls Ibushi into position. Alexander goes up top for a double stomp but Ibushi moves. Ibushi with a German suplex and round kick followed by the Golden Star Power Bomb for the three count.
Winner: Kota Ibushi (Advances to face winner of Tony Nese versus Brian Kendrick)
