Hey Dave, the subject pretty much says it all. Between all of New Day's stuff and Enzo's line of "my mom and dad got it on," do you know if Vince and creative are loosening the reigns on what they want the wrestlers to say? Or maybe they're giving clout to certain people they trust?
With VERY few exceptions, most of the WWE talent has no ability to improvise on promos. New Day and Enzo fall into that category. They are using the language that Creative has written for them. It is a conscious decision by Creative.
What matchup makes the most since now to be the main event for Summerslam. I would love to see an Ambrose vs. Reigns but what's your perspective?
I am typing this on Sunday morning, before the PPV, but what makes the most sense to me is to have Seth Rollins return and go after the Title he never lost and doing so against Roman Reigns makes the most sense. It would also be a good way to turn him babyface, which I think he would be great at, and turn Roman heel (which needs to happen since the fans just don’t accept him as a face right now).
I liked the Legacy inductions to the WWE HOF. This opens up all sorts of possible inductions that deserve the honor but may not be a draw for an event. What do you think of inducting organizations such as AWA, WCW, ECW or GLOW? Also, do you see Ted Turner going in to the HOF?
Ted Turner definitely deserves it. He was the one who put wrestling on cable. And, he bankrolled WCW for years. He certainly belongs. It would just be up to he and Vince McMahon agreeing to it. As for organizations, I don’t really se the point in that.
Due to its controversial "Bathroom Bill", North Carolina has lost several jobs, Bruce Springsteen pulled out of a concert this weekend, and the NBA is going to move next year's All Star Game out of Charlotte. Do you see WWE or ROH taking a similar stand (especially considering the 2 big nights in Charlotte for ROH this June)?
Neither have made any announcements that would suggest that they will. My take is if a company takes that stand, I fully support it. If they choose not to, I understand that position as well.
Do you think more Mid South and World Class will be added to the network?
Yes, in time. Be patient.
