As we noted last month here on PWInsider.com, former Triple Crown champion Joe Doering, 33, was diagnosed on 2/25 with a Stage 3 brain tumor and underwent successful surgery to remove it on 3/4. Doering is in the midst of chemotherapy and radiation therapy next week and a GoFundMe.com campaign has been launched to assist him with finances as he battles.
Scott D'Amore, who trained Doering, announced on his Facebook page that he will match all donations made through this Sunday 100%, meaning if someone donates $5, he will match that $5 and so forth. So, any money raised this week will be matched by D'Amore.
