WWE INTEREST IN YOUNG & ROODE, DEAN VS. BROCK, OLD HOME VIDEOS ON WWE NETWORK & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-03-26 10:00:00

Any word on how long Luke Harper will be out of action? He is the workhorse of the Wyatt Family. And beside Bray Wyatt, he has a bright future in WWE.

WWE has not publicly disclosed how long he will be out, but the word that was making the rounds last night backstage at Madison Square Garden is that he's expected out 5-6 months.

Do you see WWE trying to sign both Eric Young and Bobby Roode.  Or just one?

I would be shocked if there haven't already been at least phone conversations.  I get rumblings that Young might be the first one to get a look, but they are both excellent so WWE would be crazy to not want to bring them into the fold, in my opinion.  They can each add a lot, whether it's NXT or Raw?

Is Shane McMahon back as a corporate executive within WWE?

Not as of this writing.  McMahon is there specifically as a performer.  That doesn't mean things can't change but I think a big part of the return, for McMahon, was to perform in front of his children now that they are old enough to see it.

What do you think of WWE pretty much saying Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar will be a garbage match with the barbed wire bat and the chainsaw?

I think they are trying to tell the tale that it's going to be a war and that Dean is going to do anything in his power to keep from losing to Brock.  I don't have an issue with it.  It's the biggest show of the year and once you say it's going to be a No Holds Barred Streetfight, you have to live up to what you are promoting.

I was wondering why WWE doesn't put up any of the old ECW, AWA, WCW home videos on the Network?

I don't know if they have the rights to those.  I know they specifically do not have the rights to the old ECW Pioneer Home Video DVDs as those were not part of the bankruptcy sale of ECW assets.  They may or may not have the old WCW and AWA VHS rights, or those rights may remain with the original distributor of those titles.  It really depends on what the original deals the different promotions had with the distributor, and where the lineage of ownership from those distributors stands today.  If a company was acquired by someone else, the buyer may have those rights - or it could be the rights reverted back to the original promotion after a certain amount of time.
