SMACKDOWN REPORT: ANY ROADBLOCKS FOR DEAN AMBROSE'S ROAD TO ROADBLOCK, CHRIS JERICHO IS ON FIRE, OWENS VS. ZAYN FOR MANIA?

By Richard Trionfo on 2016-03-11 00:31:00

We are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo, Jerry Lawler, and Byron Saxton.

Miz is in the ring and he welcomes us to MizTV.  Miz says his guests are a couple of best friends turned mortal enemies.  This Monday was the next chapter in their story when his first guest made a dramatic rescue on Raw to save Neville from Kevin Owens.

We see the footage from Raw.

Miz brings out Sami Zayn.

Miz mentions that Sami’s journey to the WWE is remarkable and would make a great movie.  Miz says the WWE Universe wants to know who is Sami Zayn.

Sami says he has been doing this for a long time.  He has been with NXT . . .

Miz interrupts and he wants Sami to fast forward to his relationship with Kevin Owens.  He says that conflict and drama equals must see TV.

Sami says that his history with Kevin goes back thirteen years.  They started in Montreal and then took it all over the world.  They were able to rely on each other, whether as tag team partners or opponents.  He says it was more like a brotherhood.  He points out he was Kevin’s best man at his wedding.

Miz asks Sami when did they become enemies.

Sami says he does not know what happened.  Sami says he got to the WWE a few years before Kevin.  He knew that Kevin would make it to WWE as well.  Sami points out that Kevin made his debut on NXT the same night that Sami won the NXT Championship and then Kevin turned on him and power bombed Sami on the apron.  That led to Sami’s shoulder injury that kept him off television for seven months.  He does not know why that happened.

Miz thanks Sami for telling his story . . . but he says there is always two side to every story so he brings out Kevin Owens.

Kevin Owens eventually comes out and he tells Sami that Sami knows why he did what he did in NXT.  Just because the answer he gave was not what you wanted to hear does not make it untrue.  Kevin says he did what was best for business and what was best for himself.  What he did was not personal.  It was the best thing to do for him.

Kevin says they should look at the facts.  Sami was signed to the WWE two years before Kevin was but Kevin made it to Raw a year before Sami did.  How was Kevin wrong?  Kevin says what is personal is what you did to him at the Royal Rumble and what you did on Raw.  If you want to twist it any way you want, Kevin says he is the victim.

Sami tells Kevin that he is not the victim, at least not yet.  Sami says he is here to stay and he is going to beat Kevin for the Intercontinental Championship and he is going to do it at Wrestlemania.

Kevin says the fact that Sami thinks he belongs near the Intercontinental Championship is laughable.  This is not NXT, this the Kevin Owens Show and you are nothing.

Sami says that since they are both here, why don’t you get in the ring to prove it.  Sami rearranges the furniture in the ring.
Kevin remains on the apron and then he asks if you think you deserve to be in the same ring as him.  He says that Sami is delusional and he is done here.

Kevin goes up the ramp but Neville’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage.

He tells Kevin not to leave so quick.  Neville says that Sami is not the only person Kevin has to worry about.  They have unfinished business.  Neville says the Intercontinental Title would look good around his waist.

Miz says that Neville is not an approved guest on his show.  Miz wants to know how they think they deserve an Intercontinental Title Match.  If anyone deserves a match for the title, it is him.  He is a five time Intercontinental Champion and he main evented Wrestlemania while you were main eventing bingo halls.

Sami points out that he is a guest on the show and this issue has nothing to do with you so you should butt out of this.  Sami says that Miz’ years of main eventing Wrestlemania are far far away.

Miz attacks Zayn from behind and punches him but Sami fights back and Miz goes to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring and he has a jacket and scarf, but he did not have time to put on a shirt.

We see what happened on Raw after Jericho and Styles could not win the Tag Team Titles.

Chris has a Y2AJ shirt with him and he puts it on the side of a trash can in the ring.

Chris says this is what he gets.  You are going to boo him?  It does not surprise him.  When you had the chance to cheer his name, you chose AJ Styles over his own.  You can stop with the AJ Styles chants.  This is why he did what he did on Raw.  You chant for AJ Styles and you made him feel like a piece of trash.  You ignore him and disrespect him.  Have you forgotten that he is the best in the world at what he does.

He is the best because he does it all.  If you need him to be World Champion, he does it and he excels.  You need him to be in the opening match, he does it and he excels.  You need a fresh new idea and he invents the Money in the Bank Match.  He has never been hurt during his time in the WWE.  He was too busy winning championships.  Yet you chant for AJ Styles.

Chris says to all of you chanting for AJ Styles, you can go to hell.  Even after Raw, one of the greatest matches in WWE history, you were chanting for AJ Styles.  Never mind that he has delivered classic match after classic match for seventeen years, yet you choose AJ over him.  Chris says he has seen it time and time again.  So and so is going to come in and be the next big thing.  After three months, he is gone because he cannot excel at the level that Chris Jericho can.

Chris says he is not the next big thing in the WWE.  He is the only thing.  He is the best in the world at what he does.  It is not AJ Styles.  He has been here for six weeks and the steam is rising off the cup of his WWE coffee, yet you chose AJ over him.  Shame on all of you.

Jericho says now he is going to stand here and watch AJ Styles’ career burn out and fade away.  He will be standing here laughing.  AJ Styles is nothing and he is a bum.  He tells everyone to chant AJ’s name while you can.
Jericho sprays lighter fluid into the trash can.
Chris says that AJ’s career is going to go up in flames.  Y2AJ was something special and AJ ruined it.  You all ruined it because you chose AJ Styles over him.  Chris says it was his fault to allow AJ to be his partner.  He stooped so low to allow him, nothing more than a newcomer, a newbie, a rookie.  He never should have let AJ be his partner.  He trusted him.  AJ burned him so he will burn AJ in effigy.

Chris sets the Y2AJ shirt on fire and then he tells Styles to watch his career go up in flames.  Chris drops the shirt into the trash can and the flames rise from the trash can.

Chris says that Y2AJ is officially over and it is your fault.  Your career is going to go up in flames and Chris says that he will be the one who lights the fire.
Chris mockingly chants AJ Styles.
