An outstanding arrest warrant against WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina was officially rescinded on Thursday 2/25.
The warrant, issued in July 2014, ordered Flair arrested for contempt of court after the former NWA, WCW and WWF World champion failed to adhere to a June 2014 judgment against him, requiring the two-time WWE Hall of Famer to pay close to $33,000 in legal fees and support to his most recent ex-wife, Jacqueline.
While the charge was technically a misdemeanor, the judge's ruling issuing the warrant called for Flair's immediate arrest with the stipulation that he not be released until the complete amount he owed was paid off. So, Flair had wisely avoided traveling to North Carolina while the warrant was active.
Now that the warrant has been rescinded (likely meaning Flair has paid off the legal judgment against him), the former Charlotte resident is now free to come and go as he pleases in The Tar Heel State.
