2008 - WWE.com's website added a section called Industry News, collecting reprints of not just WWE articles, but newspaper stories about WWE talent, and even news from independent wrestling websites, including PWInsider.com. WWE even mentioned articles on TNA and other promotions.    The idea was to become a direct competitor to websites such as this one but was eventually changed to covering media articles about WWE in the mainstream before being discarded within a year.

2008 - TNA announced they would broadcast a live Impact on 3/27, taking advantage of fans being in Orlando for Wrestlemania.

2008 - The Omaha World Herald reported that Congressman Lee Terry wasn't backing down from his comments about World Wrestling Entertainment head Vince McMahon skipping the Congress subcommittee meeting on the usage of illegal substances in professional athletics.

Noting McMahon's reasoning being WWE's lead counsel Jerry McDevitt was busy working on a criminal case unrelated to WWE, Terry responded, "He probably has more than one attorney, so it sounded pretty hollow."

The article goes on to note that McMahon personally called Terry's office, but the Congressman was unavailable.  He said he was willing to speak to McMahon in the future.  In discussing steroids in professional wrestling, Terry commented, "There's no doubt that the entertainment factor is that they are physically huge freaks, that's part of the show, so there is kind of a belief that steroids are very ubiquitous in the wrestling entertainment industry."

WWE's Gary Davis told the Herald that said such comments "represent stereotypical assumptions made by people who don't follow professional wrestling."

2008 - Chris Jericho's second autobiography was officially titled "Undisputed".

2008 -  WWE ran Cape Girardeau, MO at the Show Me Center.  Brian Thompson filed the following live report:

Ring announcer Tony Chimel welcomed everyone to the show and then introduced WWE Raw General Manager William Regal. Regal proceeded to also welcome fans to the event and then run down the card.

Match #1: Super Crazy & D. H. Smith def. Charlie Haas & Trevor Murdoch.

Match #2: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan def. Paul Birchill by DQ.

Match #3: Gene Snitsky def. Brian Kendrick.

Match #4: Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly def. Carlito & Santino Marella to retain the WWE World Tag Team Championship.

Match #5: Mickie James & Maria def. Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall.

Match #6: Chris Jericho def. Ken Kennedy.

Main Event: Randy Orton def. Jeff Hardy to retain the WWE Championship.

Notes: Crowd looked to be in the 6,500 - 6,800 range. There were only a couple of empty sections and only a few spot empty seats here and there. This may be the second biggest WWF/WWE crowd in Show Me Center history. The biggest was a sellout in March 1988. That show drew a standing room only crowd of 9,000 in the 8,000 seat arena. It was a TV taping that featured the infamous angle where Rick Rude picked Jake Roberts' wife out of the crowd for a "Rude Awakening," leading to the feud between those two. Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant main- evented that show on the opposite sides of a tag match. A winter/spring 1998 WWF card drew about 5,800 to the venue, which was touted at the time as the second biggest wrestling crowd for the Show Me Center.

The Duggan-Birchill match had an odd finish where Katie was caught choking Duggan blatantly in front of the referee. This happened just minutes into the heat for Birchill, so it almost looked like a messed up finish. Can't see why Duggan would be put over when they are trying to push Birchill and Katie.

Santino Marella and Carlito had a funny exchange on the mic. Santino talked about how "sad" everyone was to live in the state of "Misery" or, of course, "Missouri." Then, he said even the state's hockey team had the "Blues" . . . St. Louis Blues of course. Along with Carlito, he discussed Maria's upcoming Playboy issue. Some funny stuff here that I won't share due to the "adult themed" nature of it all.

Candice Michelle was originally advertised as working Beth Phoenix on the card for the WWE Women's Title. However, that match was changed to the mentioned Divas Tag. However, Candice did appear, distracting Beth which allowed Mickie to roll her up for the 1-2-3.

Chris Jericho looked to have landed wrong on a Lionsault, hitting the back of his head. It almost looked like he hit the ropes and then took a straight back bump to the mat, looking almost like a backwards headbutt if you can picture that in your mind. He stayed down for a second, then I guess gave the okay. Kennedy came to him and Jericho snatched his legs up, turning over into a Lion Tamer for the eventual tap out. Jericho's hand was raised, then he quickly exited without touching fans hands or any kind of post match gaga.

Really fun show. If you like more wrestling and less talk, even though there was a little mic work, the house shows may be the way to go as it relates to WWE. They will certainly be glad to have your ticket money!

Winners: Titus O'Neil and Darren Young

After the match, Titus gets on the mic and he says that what we have with Percy is a failure to communicate. He tells Percy that he has been going around telling people that he deserves a rematch. Titus tells Percy that he gets his rematch next week and he tells Percy to be more aggressive and have a better attitude than he ever had. If not, he will be just like everyone else in the building and he will be a loser.

Titus leaves and barks while William Regal wonders how he is getting a rematch next week.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, and Justin Gabriel are in the ring. Derrick Bateman makes his way to the ring for his match and he wonders what is going on. It looks like we are going to have an INTERVENTION. Kaitlyn says that this is a safe place. It is the trust tree. Derrick points out that he has a match with the red headed gingerman.

Justin tells Derrick that he does not have a match and Kaitlyn tells him that this is an intervention.

Derrick wants to know what the intervention is for. Alicia says they are here to talk about five feet and five inches of pure evil. Derrick wants to know if they are talking about Trent Barreta because Maxine is a peach. Justin tells Derrick that she is a piranha. He tells Derrick to lose her. He wants Derrick to remember when he was single and happy. Alicia calls Maxine crazy. Justin tells Derrick that Maxine beats up random people backstage. Alicia tells Derrick that she makes everyone's life miserable.

Derrick says that Kaitlyn had to have set this up. Kaitlyn says that they care about him and they want him to watch a video package. We see some of Maxine's greatest hits.

Kaitlyn asks Derrick if those are signs of a healthy relationship.

Derrick says that she is okay and he thinks they are in love.

Kaitlyn tells Derrick that Maxine is using her until the next person can help her. He says that what they have is weird.

Derrick wants Kaitlyn to tell him what is love. Kaitlyn kisses Derrick and Derrick falls to the mat.

Maxine runs to the ring and Alicia tries to interfere but without her dead animal pelt on her head, she does not have the same powers so Maxine is able to get past her and to Kaitlyn and we have a good old NXT catfight.

They separate Maxine and Kaitlyn but that does not work and Maxine goes after Derrick now.

Maxine leaves the ring and she goes to the back.

Tyson Kidd is walking in the back and Natalya stops him to wish him luck in his match. She tells Tyson not to get down because he is a Hart.

Michael stops by and he says that something smells rotten and this time it isn’t Natalya.

Michael says that the only reason a Hart talks to Tyson is because they feel sorry for him. Michael calls Tyson a loser before we go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to see what happened when Dwayne and John were together on Raw on Monday night.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Matt Striker is in the ring and he tells us that we have gone through a year of NXT Redemption. In five seasons, we have gone through six ring announcers, about twelve different announce teams, and the show has introduced about thirty new superstars to the world, but through the personnel changes, ridiculous challenges, and the neverending seasons. There has only been one host. Matt says that he might be a glutton for punishment and he says that he has this job because he loves this stuff.

Matt says that he has a passion for WWE, just like the fans. NXT was supposed to be a show where the unseen can be shown to the world. Matt says that there is a crop of superstars who will carry this company to the future. NXT was supposed to be about change and it has not been the case for the last few weeks. The inmates have started to run the asylum and it will stop tonight.

Matt is interrupted by Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. Curt says that tonight, they bring change. Tyler says that this could be one of the greatest nights of their lives. They tell Matt to hang on a minute. They come out with chairs, drinks, and popcorn.

Curt says that tonight is a historic night because he is going to hand his job over to someone younger and better looking.

Matt tells Curt to shut up and he has a few bullets left in the gun so if Curt wants to challenge him, he is ready for him. Matt says that this show needs some veteran leadership and someone the wrestlers can respect. John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long have been doing this for twenty years. Matt says that he does not have that experience. He is bringing in someone who has the respect of the WWE Universe, the wrestlers, and the fans.

Matt says that he has found someone who will make the matches and if you have a complaint you take it to that person. The new sheriff in town is William Regal.

William goes to the ring and he thanks Matt. William says that he looks forward to pushing everyone to their limits. He is looking forward to exciting matches against people you don’t expect. He wants to know why the two flibbity-gibbits wear sunglasses inside. He has something special lined up for them next week.

The last fifty-two weeks of NXT are over, but the new NXT has begun.

2016 - WWE broadcast Monday Night Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We start off this week's show with a look back at what Triple H did to Roman Reigns last week on Raw.

We are in Nashville, Tennessee and your announcers are Michael Cole, John Layfield, and Byron Saxton.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H makes his way to the ring and he makes his way to the ring and he shows off his title belt.

As he walks to the ring, we see photos of what was left of Roman Reigns' face after Monday night's attack.

Hunter says Authority, a select few have it while the rest of you bow down to it.  Hunter says that all of you have an authority figure in your life that you have to listen to.  A figure that tells you what to do, where to go, and how to dress.  Every single one of you hate it.  You all want to stand up to it and challenge that authority.  You do not because you are afraid.  That fear is not a bad thing.  That fear is what keeps things in place.  That fear provides you with the ability to know your place in life.

Roman Reigns should have known that fear and remembered his place.  He tried to challenge and disrespect authority.  Roman tried to disrespect and challenge him.   Where did that challenge and disrespect get Roman Reigns?  He is sitting home breathing through his mouth, hoping beyond hope that his dream of going to Wrestlemania still exists.  Roman should know his place.  You do not challenge authority.  That is a message to anyone who can hear his voice.

Dean Ambrose's music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he appears to be doing a lot better than last week.

Dean says he wants to tell Hunter that he talked to Roman Reigns.  He tells Hunter Roman says hi and he is coming for Hunter.  Dean says that he figures Hunter would know what that means.

Hunter says fresh off his win from the Oscars for Best Supporting Actor in a Bromance . . . Dean Ambrose.

Dean reminds Hunter he was in a movie and it was pretty good.  Dean says he is not going to go all Mad Max on him.  He wanted to talk to Hunter last week but he got mauled by a grizzly bear in a parking lot and then he is fighting Brock Lesnar in a Street Fight at Wrestlemania.  Then you hit Roman with a ring bell.  Shane McMahon comes back and he is going to face Undertaker in Hell in a Cell so their schedules did not mesh.

Dean asks Hunter if he likes Shane or not.

Dean says that he wanted to know who Hunter wanted to win the Triple Threat Match at Fastlane.  He decides to change the question and ask who he did not want to win that match.

Hunter says Dean is wasting his time, but the only two people who meant anything in that match were Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns so Dean was not even a factor in it.

Dean gets in Hunter's face and asks if he can see him now.  Dean says it is hard for Hunter to remember the little people all the time.  He says that he is the last person Hunter wanted to face at Wrestlemania.

Hunter laughs and he says that Dean really is crazy.  Hunter says he always thought it was a skit he put on for you guys to make him look cool.

Dean wants to know why everyone keeps saying that.  He might not make the smartest decisions.  Hunter is real smart.  He is the cerebral assassin.  You are smart enough not to get in the ring with him because Hunter cannot beat him.  Dean says he can see it in Hunter's face and his body.  He says he can read Hunter like a book.  He can smell it on him.  Dean says Hunter does not think he can beat him.

Hunter says that unfamiliar smell is probably laundry detergent and clean clothes.  Hunter says it is money and power, something that Dean does not have.

Dean says that Hunter is saying some pretty mean things but that is all talk.  How about some action from the COO?  How about me versus you?

Dean says he is not done yet.  Dean says how about me versus you for that. Dean says that Roman won the right to fight for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania, but that does not mean that you are going to be the champion on April 3rd.  Let's see if he is talking crazy and let's find out right now.

Hunter asks if that is how things work by saying something crazy and screaming RIGHT NOW and it just happens.  It does not work that way.  It intrigues him but he will think about whether it is best for business.  Hunter says he will think about it and he will give Dean an answer by the end of the night.

Dean asks if he means the end of Raw or will it be by text later.

Hunter says Dean does have something to do tonight.  He was going to give Dean the night off.  Hunter ran into a few fun fellows called the League of Nations.  Why don't you go one on one with Alberto Del Rio and he will have all of his fun friends out here.  We will see if you can respect authority.

We take a look back at Shane McMahon's return to Raw last week.

In addition to The Undertaker's return, we will hear from Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon.

Bray says the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.  Bray says maybe he is insane.  Maybe his mind is key to saving the entire world.  It starts as an idea and that idea turns into a plan.  That plan turns into a beautiful symphony.  He tells everyone to join him and he will give you eternal paradise.  Defy him and you will end up exactly like the rest of them . . . conquered.

We are back and The Vincent J McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award Trophy has returned to the ring and Stephanie McMahon makes her way to accept her award . . . a week later.

Stephanie says last week, she had the honor of having this award bestowed on her by her father.  That was until her insolent brother interrupted her honor.  Stephanie says that she is going to finish her speech and she demands the respect that she deserves.

Stephanie says that you can chant for Shane, but he is not here tonight and he will not be here after the Undertaker is done with him at Wrestlemania.

Stephanie says that Legacy and family . . . legacy and family . . .

Stephanie closes her speech and she takes the trophy in her arms like a baby.  Stephanie says that she works every single day of her life, sacrificing time with her family for you and this is the respect you show her?  You chant We Want Shane.  Stephanie knocks over the table.

Shane blackmailed her father and the WWE.  You cheer that and what does that say about you?  What does that say about her brother?  What did Shane do with all of this information?  He took a multi year vacation?  Where was he?  Can he come back because he is a man?  Because he is a McMahon?  It was because of your family legacy.

If you cared about your family legacy, you would have shown up a few times.  You have not been to a Wrestlemania or a Monday Night Raw during that time.  He did not care about his father or grandfather and he does not care about you..  Stephanie says it is sad that she loves her brother.  She does not respect him because every time she puts her guard down, he stabs her in the back.

It eats him alive that she is married to Hunter.  It eats him alive that she wields so much power.  Your sons will have the chance to try to gain power in the WWE, but so will her daughters.  You cannot come in and take over like you threatened.  It makes her want to vomit over the thought of you in charge.

That will not happen because the Undertaker will dismember you at Wrestlemania and you will not have to be back.  Shane McMahon is an reflection of you.  You are all wastes of life.  You think you are entitled to everything, but reality comes around and slaps you in the face.

You may not agree with the decisions they have made, but you cannot deny their work ethic or their legacy.  You will be forced to show your respect to the Authority.  You will have to bow down to the King and bow down to your QUEEN . . . ME!

We go to commercial.

We are back and Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring, even though we were told the Undertaker is next.

Vince complains about the ovation he got from the crowd.  He wants to make sure that everyone knows who he is.

Imagine it is the night after Wrestlemania and he is introducing his son, Shane McMahon.  He would have done that only if Hell froze over at Wrestlemania and the seas parted with a miracle happening at Wrestlemania because Shane McMahon would have won at Wrestlemania.  That would mean that Shane would be running Raw and the entire company.  His daughter and son in law would immediately quit the business.  Shane would put him in mothballs and cobwebs and he would never see the light of day again.  Shane would come to the ring to all of the accolades to lead you into a new era of Sports Entertainment.

Vince says none of that will happen because only fools believe in miracles.  Shane may be foolish, but he still loves him.  He loves him more than Shane loves him.  He loves him enough to teach him a lesson he will never ever forget.  He loves Shane enough to put him in the ring against the most unnatural force of nature in WWE history.  He will put him in a match worthy of that force of nature.  That force of nature is the Undertaker.

The lights go blue and the gongs sound as the smoke fills the arena and the Undertaker makes his way to the ring.

Vince says Undertaker is his force . . .

Taker grabs Vince by the throat and he tells Vince you know . . .you know.  You know what's going to happen when he closes that door behind him at Wrestlemania.  You know what he does.  The blood of your son is going to be on your hands . . . not mine.

Undertaker turns around and leaves the ring.

Vince says the reality is . . . he will be standing here in the ring the night after Wrestlemania recognizing that his son failed to beat the Undertaker, failed him as a son.  He will recognize that Shane not only lost his match but lost his inheritance.  He is going to rewrite his will and give it all to Stephanie.

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of All Elite Wrestling Revolution.  We are live inside the Wintrup Arena in Chicago!

Justin Roberts came to the ring to warm up the crowd, telling the fans that if they wanted a fun night, they came to the right place.

Roberts introduced the AEW Dark announcing team, Excalibur and Taz.  Big pop for Taz.

Fans across the building are wearing LED wristbands that were given out.  When Taz came out they blinked orange across the arena.  It was a cool effect.

The crowd chanted for Justin Roberts.  He tried to get the crowd to chant for Excalibur and there were some boos.  That was funny.

Yuka nailed a series of suplexes on Ford with the third being a fisherman's buster.   She fired away with kicks but was tripped by Kip Sabian outside.  This allowed Britt to tag in and worked over Yuka.  The crowd tried to rally Yuka but she was choked against the ropes.    They tagged in and out, tormenting Yuka as Sabian distracted the referee.  Riho finally got the hot tag and nailed Penelope with several dropkicks.  She teased a dive to the floor but Sabian grabbed her.  She kicked him off the apron and nailed the dive to the floor on him for a big pop.

He tried to fight his way out but the numbers ygame was too much for him.

He nailed a sunset flip on Uno for a two count then hit a big dropkick to the back of the head   Kazarian and Sky maintained control until Grayson nailed a Pele Kick on the both. Music played and a cloaked individual came out, supposedly the Exalted One but he revealed himself to be Chris Daniels, who made the save.

This was legitimately great with the crowd loving all of this.  It was the story of a badass heel trying to stop a fired up babyface.  This really was a hell of an opener.

Darby Allin hit a dive to the floor to start the match, then hit a shotgun dropkick into the barricade.  They fought around ringside. Darby went for another dive but caught his feet on the ropes executing it and it wasn’t pretty.

Guevara drilled him with a skateboard on the floor.  He pulled a table out. He placed Darby on it and hit an INSANE twisting splash on Allin, putting him through the table.  Guevara returned to the ring and played to the crowd.

Allin took a long time to recover and get in the ring.  When he did, they rang the bell and Guevara attacked him for a two count.   Allin kept getting beaten down but kept surviving the pinfall attempts. Allin made a comeback with a Guerro Especial and but Sammy’s fingers.  He locked in a variation of the Rings of Saturn, trying to force a submission.

He grabbed Allin’s skateboard and rolled it out of the ring. A fan caught it but put it down.  Guevara leapt to the top and hit a Spanish Fly for a two count. It was especially impressive because he had slipped and then leapt back up to save it.  The crowd chanted for AEW.

Allin made a comeback shoving him hard into the buckles and drilled him.  He went to the top and nailed the Coffin Drop for the pin.

Your winner, Darby Allin!

Allin was going to try and get revenge by smashing Guevara’s throat but Hager hit the ring and pulled him out.

This was a hell of a brawl.  The crowd LOVES Allin.  Chicago chanted Allin’s name.

Omega and Page had words over who would start.

They had spotlights running around the building during the ring introductions to add a big fight feel.  I liked it.

NIck and Page go back and forth.  The crowd is chanting for “Cowboy Sh**.”  Matt tags in and the crowd pops. They go back and forth on the mat trying to get the advantage but neither gets it and they face off.  Matt offers a handshake. Page spit his gum in Matt’s face. Matt tackled him and beat him down with right hands.

Nick pulled him off and tried to calm Matt down.  WHY? Nick tagged in but Page nailed him. He superkicked Page.  The Bucks knocked Omega off the apron and went to work on Page, Nick hit a moonsault to the floor on Omega.  They hit a number of tag team moves on Page.

Page caught Matt with a shot to the lower back, which has had a history of being an issue for Jackson.  Omega was tagged in via a hard slap to the chest. Page tagged back in and tossed Jackson to the floor. He teased putting him through a table but Omega stopped him.  Omega and Page double teamed Jackson with chops in the ring.

Jackson tried to suplex them both.  He finally nailed it. They were all in the ring forever.  NIck tagged in and drilled them with a series of superkicks and hit a combination bulldog/DDT.   He hit a springboard rana on Page and hit a slingshot facebuster on Page, followed by a moonsault to the outside on Omega.

Jackson locked a Sharpshooter on Page but Omega saved him with a leg lariat to the back of the neck.  Omega nailed a rana on Matt. He went for a tope con hilo on Nick but Matt kicked him in the chest as he hit the ropes.  The Bucks tagged in and out, working over Omega. Matt spit at Page, allowing them the chance to work over Omega longer as the referee was distracted with him.  Omega finally went for a desperation tag but Nick pulled Page off the apron.

Matt scored a two count with a piledriver.  Page drilled Matt, setting up Omega hitting a Skyhigh for a two count.  Page made the tag and cleaned house with a series of right hands. He nailed a leaping clothesline off the ropes and then hit a flip dive to the floor before hitting a lariat that knocked Nick off the apron.

Page and Nick battled until Page hit a big rebound lariat.  Nick was tossed to the corner and Page dared Matt to tag in.  The crowd chanted for Page. They exchanged punches. Jackson nailed a thrust to the throat.  Omega and Page began working over Jackson with a series of forearms. Page tossed Jackson to Omega, who spiked him with a German suplex.

Omega nailed a sit-down powerbomb for a two count.  Page was caught by Nick with a kick as he was sent into the buckles.  Nick fired away with kicks on Page before superkicking Omega. Page shoved Nick backwards off the ropes but he landed on the ramp and hit a springboard Canadian Destroyer for a two count.  The crowd chanted, “This is awesome.”

The Bucks trapped Page’s head under the top turnbuckle, where Nick superkicked him.  They nailed a double team superbomb/sliced bread #2 combination. Page nailed Jackson in the mid-section with a superkick.  Page locked on a crossface chicken wing submission Matt rolled out of the way, allowing Nick to hit a 450 splash off the top for a two count.

The Bucks continued the assault until Matt was sent into the buckles, crotching Nick on the top.  The Champs dazzled with big moves. Page hit a Fall Away Slam off the top for a close two count. Omega nailed a V-Trigger on Matt but Nick broke it up.  Chicago was losing their minds, chanting AEW.

Omega nailed a V-Trigger on Nick, then Matt.  He nailed a nasty back suplex on Nick, then hit him with a double underhook driver.  Somehow, Nick kicked up at the last second. The crowd chanted “Fight Forever.”

Omega climbed the ropes with Nick on his shoulders.  Nick hit a reverse rana. Matt and Page battled on the floor, with Matt hitting a series of Northern Lights suplexes up the ramp.  The crowd loved that and chanted AEW.

The Bucks teased a Meltzer Driver on the ramp and spiked Page on it.  The crowd turned on them for it and booed the Bucks. Matt told Nick to nail a superkick and they started the party.  They then hit Omega with a double V-Trigger. The crowd booed but burst into excitement when Omega kicked out at one.

They continued beating Omega, who kept kicking up.  The crowd chanted for Omega. The Bucks went for a Meltzer Driver but Page grabbed Nick and powerbombed him through the ringside table.

Omega and Page hit a Buckshot Lariat/V-Trigger combo but Matt Jackson kicked out.   Omega nailed him with a big V-Trigger He got Matt up for the One-Winged Angel but Jackson nailed him.  Page tagged in and hit the move instead and scored a CLOSE two count. This is insane. What the hell could be the finish?  AEW chants.

Page nailed a Buckshot Lariat at the 30 minute mark.  He then nailed a Buckshot lariat into the ring on Matt and finally scored the pin.

Your winners and still AEW Tag Team Champions, Omega and Page!

A hell of a physical war, although some of the near falls were getting to the point that any of them COULD have been the finish.  This was an absolute classic.

Matt Jackson extended his hand to Omega, who backed up.  He finally took it and shook hands with the Bucks.  Page stayed away and turned his back on them.  He left the ring and teased he might his Omega with the Buckshot lariat, but finally held the ropes open for him and they left together.

Big reaction for Statlander.  I loved the dancing alien on her video entrance.  Having been to Roswell, I got a big kick out of that entire deal.

Rose used her power to control the challenger early on.  Statlander kept fighting through but was sent to the ramp on the outside.  Rose worked her over as the crowd tried to rally Kris. Rose tossed her back into the ring.  She rolled through, rebounded off the ropes and tried to hit a dive but Rose stepped out of the way and Kris crashed and burned.

Rose charged down the ramp and speared Kris through the ropes into the ring for a two count.  Rose picked up Kris for a suplex but instead slammed her into the buckles. Statlander landed on the floor.

They battled back and forth with punches in the ring.  Statlander finally got the better of the exchange and knocked Rose to the floor, then hit a tope suicida to the floor.  She nailed another. Statlander nailed a missile dropkick off the top for a two count. The crowd rallied Statlander.

Kris was caught with an Avalanche in the corner.  Rose placed her on the ropes and went to the top but Kris waked away on her hands to avoid it.  She booped Rose’s nose and nailed a DDT for a two count.

Rose caught her in a STF and Kris fought to get to the ropes.   She does but Rose nails a sit-down powerbomb for a two count. Rose went to the top but Kris nailed her with a series of rights.  Statlander nailed a superplex for a two count. She argued with the referee, allowing Rose to nail her.

They battled to the top where Rose finally nailed a superbomb and scored the pin.

Your winner and still champ, Nyla Rose!

As good as could be with Statlander being ill but this was a little too long , had problems and didn't click.   The crowd energy wasn't there either for this one, but they were in a bad position of following that Tag match.

MJF was attacked but went into the crowd to escape.  He finally entered the ring where Cody beat him.  MJF was knocked to the outside on the ramp.  Cody ran backstage, then sprinted down the ramp to clothesline him over the ropes into the ring.

MJF was worked over until he did the Roddy Piper eyepoke.  Cody fought back with a flying forearm then spun him around and around before an Alabama Slam.

MJF was pulled out of the ring by Wardlow.   Brandi threw a drink in Wardlow’s face. He went after her but Cody hit a dive.  Wardlow worked over Cody on the floor as MJF distracted the referee, Cody was sent shoulder-first into the ringpost.

Cody fired back but was hit with a gutwrench powerbomb for a two count.  Cody was worked over for quite some time on the mat, including Cody being tied in a submission.  Cody fought to the ropes and bit them to break the hold.

MJF took Cody’s boot off, going after the toe Cody broke doing the moonsault.  He bit the toe. The crowd chanted, “You sick f***.”

Cody finally made a comeback and set up MJF on the top, nailing an inverted superplex into the ring.  Wardlow got on the apron and challenged Cody. Arn Anderson grabbed a chair and confronted him.

Cody went to the floor, where MJF was busted open (I don’t know how that happened from this vantage point) and worked him over.  He sent MJF into the corner and rained down with punches in the corner. He snapped him into a powerslam for a two count. He went for a hanging DDT but MJF escaped and stomped the toe.

MJF went for a pinfall and Wardlow grabbed his legs to assist.  Referee Paul Turner looked at him, like, really, I can see you. Brandi hit a flying bodypress but Wardlow caught her.  Cody went for a pumpkick on Wardlow, who ducked and Arn got kicked in the face. I didn’t see Arn taking a bump in 2020.

MJF rolled up Cody who kicked up.  They battled over a suplex before crashing over the ropes to the floor.  They battled back to the ring, where they exchanged punches. Cody did the Dusty Clubbering but MJF collapsed before the Bionic Elbow.  The place chanted for Dusty.

MJF caught him out of nowhere with a CrossRhodes for a two count.  MJF grabbed Cody’s weightlifting belt and was going to use it but the referee took it away.  Cody nailed him with a CopKilla for a two count. Cody then took the belt. Cody whipped him with it and the referee tried to take it away.  Cody whipped him again then tossed it into the crowd.

MJF crawled to Cody’s feet, crying.   He climbed up and hugged Cody. He spit in Cody’s face and tried to him with the ring.  Cody ducked and nailed several CrossRhodes. On a third attempt. MJF punched him with the ring.  He covered and pinned Cody.

Your winner, MJF!

I expected this to be more of a crazy brawl early on but they told a hell of a story with some great twists and the finish was perfect to build MJF and continue the feud.

The crowd hated this and chanted “Bullsh**” which is what you want them to do when a big heel wins.

They chanted for Cody as he left.

PAC locked his submission on Cassidy.  The referee rang the bell. PAC refused to release it.

AEW Champion Chris Jericho vs. Jon Moxley.

Moxley entered from the crowd.

They had a choir singing the Jericho song.  That was pretty damn clever. As you might imagine, everyone sang the Jericho song.

Big ring intros from Justin Roberts.

They began brawling immediately with Moxley taking Jericho to the floor and dumping him into the crowd.  Jericho nailed Moxley with a sign stand. Moxley fired back and they made their way around the building and towards the second level.  Moxley was thrown down the stairs. Jericho took the camera from the cameraman and filmed Moxley, giving him the finger.

They battled back to the ramp but Jericho was knocked back to the floor.  Moxley nailed a big axehandle. He followed that up with a series of chops on the floor and bit Jericho’s face.  Jericho reversed a whip, sending Moxley into the ringpost.

Moxley was powerbombed on the time keeper’s table.  He was grabbing at his patched eye as he got up and returned to the ring.  Jericho came off the ropes with a flying axehandle. Jericho took the ring mic and declared himself the winner before going back to work on Moxley.  He nailed him with a catapult, snapping his throat under the bottom rope.

Jericho naled a series of rights but Moxley came to life, only to be clotheslined back down.  Jericho dumped him to the floor, allowing Santana and Ortiz to work him over as Jericho distracted the referee.   Jericho sent Moxley into the ring steps on the floor. He hung Jericho on the ropes and nailed a dropkick.

Jericho continued working over Moxley with chops and sent him into the opposite corner.  He set up for a superplex. Moxley fought him off and sent Jericho careening down into the ring before nailing a flying clothesline.

Jericho escaped to the floor but Moxley nailed a dive to the outside.

Moxley brought the champ back in the ring and nailed a running knee strike for a two count.  Santana tried to interfere but was nailed. The referee looked outside to check on him, allowing Ortiz to drill Moxley with a sock full of coins.  Jericho hit a Lionsault for a two count. Jericho continued beating on Moxley.

Moxley fought back and locked on The Walls of Jericho.  Jake Hager charged down but Moxley nailed him. Jericho hit the Codebreaker and now he was locking on the Walls of Jericho.  Moxley fought to the ropes and grabbed it. Jericho argued with referee Aubrey Edwards and shoved her twice.

Moxley took control but Hager nailed him.  Edwards threw the Inner Circle out. MASSIVE POP.  As they were being taken out, Sammy Guevara nailed Moxley with the AEW title belt.  He left through the crowd.

Jericho covered Moxley, who kicked up at two.  The crowd chanted for Moxley. Jericho nailed him with right hands.  Moxley fired back. Jericho thumbed the eye and kicked him down. Moxley couldn't’ see and was wildly swinging.  Jericho nailed him with a kneedrop to the face of the ropes.

Moxley ducked a clothesline and nailed a DDT.  He removed the patch, revealing a bloody eye underneath.  He nailed the Paradigm Shift and scored the pin.

Your winner and new AEW Champion, Jon Moxley!

Moxley celebrated in the ring.  He took the ring mic.  The crowd chanted his name.  He said, "Goddamn, I love this sh**.  It's been one hell of a year for yours truly.  It's been a long run.  I didn't win this tonight.  It doesn't belong to me, just like AEW, you the wrestling fans are the ones you push it forward.  You are the energy.  A year ago, we had a conversation and said we are bringing pro wrestling - pro wrestling - back to the people.  I didn't win this.  It belongs to everyone in Chicago tonight.  All the fans who have been here since the beginning, through all the ups and downs.  All the fans who kept me moving forward, this beloings to you.  I don't have the words to express my gratitude to the AEW family and you, the fans are the most important part of that family.  It feels like its beer-o-clock."

Moxley said he wants them to line up the opponents and he'll knock them down one by one.  He said it was time to go drink some whiskey.
